Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Upcoming Wii U exclusive Football game, Madmen Football, 1st screenshots and footage

I'll buy it. If its as crazy as I think it will be it will be fun. Oh and bayonetta 3 will depend on the games sales. Any game sequel usually depends on sales. EA, Activision and Ubisoft would be doing everything in their power to bring games to Wii U if they are guaranteed 3 million sales at launch prices.

Hmm... and do you have prove that it wasnt in parallel production? From that point of view we are both speculating as we have no way of knowing.

The number of employees is directly proportional to the number of projects funded. The fact that they reduced tells me they have less projects funded. Its not surprising given that namco and SEGA seemed to have dropped them and i am unsure if Konami is interested in Rising 2 after all the trouble they went through.

What we can tell is that Platinum showed interest in making Bayonetta 3. If they showed interest, its because they want to make it. If someone funds it, they will. Its all up to Nintendo, and in Nintendo's house it all comes down to quallity + sales. Xenoblade for example, wasnt a huge seller, but its quality was enough for Nintendo to buy the studio and fund a sequal.

As a matter of fact I do have evidence to say it wasn't in production parallel to Bayonetta 2 and Microsoft's E3 showing tells me that Scalebound is far from mass production. What exactly do you have ?

Namco was never interested with Platinum Games to begin with as that's evident according to the history of their published games. Sega definitely isn't interested seeing as how Bayonetta didn't perform to their expectations including Vanquish and after witnessing the bomb that is Anarchy Reigns, Sega got so unbelievably fed up for funding Platinum Games.

With Nintendo one can never be to sure of what their going to do next ...

I have the just as believable fact that Bayonetta 2 and Scalebound have different development staff. Wich i pointed on a previous post. :)

Also, because its highly unikely that they would announce a game that they didnt even start working on and yet already had a CG trailer ready for. This isnt square-enix we are talking about. ^^

And how do you know that they weren't busy making The Legend of Korra instead as per Activision's demand ?

Oh, they were already working on the game as far as anyone's concerned but how far is the question rather than when it started and it's pretty clear that Scalebound is very far away from mass production since there are no in game footages ...

I remember reading about this months ago- I didn't think it was true.

This leads up full circle on why you assume the Bayonetta 2 team would get merged into scalebound when positions are doubled and therefore wouldnt be able to work on Bayonetta 3. Its obvious they have different development teams because theres no way the game was just on-hold for 4 months after beeing announced. I dont think Microsoft would be very satisfied with that development.

How would you know that when both teams were busy making games to release this year for their respective publishers ? The deal that Platinum Games made with Microsoft was obviously very late when you consider that the studio was prioritized first with The Legend of Korra from Activision before Scalebound with Microsoft despite both of the games being announced at E3.

Scalebound doesn't even have a release date yet! It's as if Microsoft was expecting that once both teams were finished with their respective games that they'd be both moving on to developing Scalebound ...

Better than Madden confirmed,

What can I say? It looks like a god damn masterpiece!

It's no Madden and won't be anything special, but atleast the Wii U is getting a sport game. SInce Nintendo doesn't seem to care about releasing them and all the 3rd parties have left the Wii U.
