You're right! Why even bother with that HD thing. We can just settle for PS2 graphics. It'll be dirt cheap.

I literally do not give a fuck if the resolution and frame-rate are the same as the Xbox One version.

I don't enjoy games based off of those things and I do not buy games based off of those things. If the game looks fun, I will buy it. If the game is bad, I won't.

I'm about bloody sick of hearing about resolution and frame-rate, to be honest.

I was on the fence on getting this game, but now I'm not buying this.  The PS4 doesn't compare to a high end gaming PC, but even Grand Theft Auto 5 (I think) is running at least at 1080p and GTA5 open-world is definitely more taxing than AC open world.

Alternative to a boycott: stop posting so many shitty debates about one tiny advantage in one game or another

First of, I am not sure sitting that close to a big screen is very optimal. Second, how did you survive before the 8th gen? :)

Screw this shit. Nerfing the PS4 version just so it's on par with a weaker console is terrible practice. They won't be escaping any debates with this one, they won't hear the end of it for nerfing the game for no technical reason and shouldn't.

I wasn't about to buy Unity anyway. I still have to catch up on AC3 and 4. By the time I do, I'll probably be too tired of their caricatures to go on.

Ummm I wasn't going to buy the game anyway seeing as I am not a fan os the Assasians Creed games BUT to not buy it for the reason stated in the OP seems kind of silly IMO.
