Forums - Gaming Discussion - Disappointed with Smash 3DS?

It did not live up to the hype for me. The stages weren't anything special, the controls still feel kinda weird. Most characters were unlocked from the start.
I am hoping that they keep the best features for the Wii U version.

I know that feel.

I do miss adventure mode and event match and the online is eesshh in 4 player combat most of the times (probably cause of that shitty wireless G on the 3ds) but apart from that, I am liking it a lot and playing with friends seem to have zero lag for me which is great!

And of course, the music is just fap fap fap

Nope, not disappointed in the least.

I think the reason there aren't a lot of unlockable characters is because there are so many special moves to unlock. So it's like you're starting with the base form of most characters, but can unlock a couple more forms for each one. It takes a lot of play time to get all of those custom moves.

Nope.

Its was and is a stopgap till the actual title comes out, but the game itself has been fine for exactly what it was bought for: playing with friends at work. The controls definitely are not good but that was expected given the limits of the 3DS and why I want a N3DS for the nub. Worst case scenario its a 40$ Soundtrack... >.>

No, not at all.
It was clear from the beginning that the Wii U version would be much better in every aspect.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

I love it, really.

Except for how shitty they made Ness. WTF Nintendo!!

Seems like Nintendo has been trying to makes their games appeal more towards local and online multi-player for both Smash Bros and Mario Kart. I've notice they barely added much content for the single player experience. I wish there was a single player mode in MK8 similar to the Adventure Mode in Diddy Kong Racing, would've been cool.

I never really hyped up the 3DS version because it is inferior from the get-go. The Wii U version is the one I actually care about. 3DS was just an appetizer for the main course.
