That ill will is slowly mounting. Hold on, grabbing popcorn.

Not surprising in the slightest with big name competition going toe to toe with it now on a Yearly basis.

Destiny, Battlefield and Halo in 2014 alone. Thats a lot of big name FPS.

There's no Battlefield in 2014 though, which seems like the most direct competitor to the franchise. Destiny I think is different enough, and time difference should prevent heavy overlapping. There is Halo which is constrained by being exclusive to one platform. I actually think competition isn't that bad this holiday season for CoD, it's rather failing on it's own.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Eventually people want a new concept in gaming. I think COD could always have its place, but it will be a smaller, more dedicated hardcore group. I think we're all ready for something fresh.

It will do fine. Just look at the legs Ghosts has, it sells very well every month while it's considered the worst game in the franchise, while people who've played this are saying it's one of the best, if not the best above CoD4.

I totally forgot about Hardline being moved to March.

Call of Duty needs a break away for 18 Months, I think.

So if we go by VGChartz numbers where does that put Advanced Warfare at?

Well that is a lot better than VGC shows.  They have it nearly 70% down from last year.  More if you consider that the PS4 and XBO versions were at 8 and 9 weeks away respectively.

People preorder CoD? ...why? You can just walk in on release day and there will still be copies.

Yeah it got delayed, and while it's hardly proof, but the reception to the beta and gameplays were lukewarm at best on forums I'm active on.

I agree, yet Acti doubled down on it, 3 main studios plus at least High Moon studios helping with development on AW.

Me happy.

But I would feel wonderful if this series just stopped selling more than 1m.
