This is really a shame. It's even a bigger shame that most younger people only know him as an actor. His stand up comedy was legendary.

Really, really sad news . Just like others, this has been one of the few times the death of an actor has had an impact on me

I guess it's true that under the clown mask, there's usually a sad face.

And to me, not only will his movies be a little less funny, but this song will also make me a little less happy

I don't think he would have wanted that. Now, I didn't know him and can't possibly know what he was thinking, but he choose to cheer people up for a reason. I can agree that, right now, every image of him will make me sad as well, but in the long run... I hope that we can still laugh with him and let him make us happy in a way that he maybe couldn't be himself. I for one, will cherish all the wonderful works that he has left behind.
