It's the day of the AFC West. No change at the top, provided Peyton Manning stays healthy. I see the Chiefs sliding down a spot, because that's the trajectory they have been on in the second half of last season. They had also benefited a lot from an easy schedule thanks to their 2012 performance. The Chargers will be moving up while the Raiders are probably the worst team in the entire AFC.

1. Denver Broncos
2. San Diego Chargers
3. Kansas City Chiefs
4. Oakland Raiders

Can I just quote your post as my prediction?

You have briefly summed up exactly what I was thinking.

1. Denver (poised to take the AFC West again along with it's revamped defense Denver can make another serious run at the Superbowl.)

2. San Diego (See Kansas City)

3. Kansas City (Interchangeable between San Diego and Kansas City, I feel like either can take the second spot and push for the playoffs)

4. Oakland ( team has been rebuilding forever, no reason why this year will be any different from the last several)

AFC South:

Colts (Solid team overall)
Texans (Could be better, could be worse...)
Titans (Not been doin so hot, but I think they can beat most of the lower teams)
Jags (Speaking of lower teams this one is probably bottom 4)

AFC West:

Broncos (Seem to just keep getting better)
Chargers (Good team but often blocked by Broncos)
Chiefs (Tough division for them, and they have been getting worse)
Raiders (Even worse for the Raiders.)

Broncos are thought to be in the 1-3 most improved teams this year. I have to thank owner Pat Bowlen who stepped down his leadership this year due to alzheimers for giving Bronco Nation one of the most successful clubs since 1984.

I predict:

AFC South:

Texans
Colts
Titans
Jaguars

Don't really think the Texans will win it, but hey, someone has to play the system as well . When the Texans regain their mojo this year I'll score a point on all of y'all
Jaguars suck.

AFC West:

Broncos
Chiefs
Chargers
Raiders

Only debate here is in which order you want to put the Chargers and the Chiefs, let's say Chiefs inch this one out. Will not be surprised if I am wrong

AFC West
1) Broncos
2) Chargers
3) Chiefs
4) Raiders

1 and 4 were easy. The Chiefs will drop due to injuries and a much harder schedule.

Have you tossed a coin for the AFC East yet? The bottom two are still missing in your bracket.

...

Next up, the AFC South. Basically, it's the opposite of the AFC North, with the Colts looking like the safe bet for winning the division while the other three teams aren't in good shape. I'll go with the Texans in second, because people are raving about Clowney who combined with J.J. Watt should be disruptive to opposing offenses; and when their competition in the division (Jaguars and Titans) already struggles in that category to begin with, then that should allow the Texans to win at least three of those four games, despite their own persisting problems on the QB position. Plus the Texans also have the easiest schedule of the bunch, thanks to finishing fourth last year. I doubt that Locker will stay healthy for the Titans, so I am giving the edge for third place to the Jaguars who should be motivated in their first season without Gabbert.

1. Indianapolis Colts
2. Houston Texans
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
4. Tennessee Titans

Let's go Dolphins then Bills.

As for the South, I'll steal your picks (get used to it buddy!) and say Colts Texas Jags Titans.

In the West, Broncos lead again, which makes another year of chocoloco insufferability, then Chargers, Chiefs, and Raiders. I am a rebel.

Rookie Derek Carr was held out Friday because of a concussion, leaving backup duties to Matt McGloin.

Not the guy's fault at all, but every time I hear "McGloin" I flash back to that Simpsons episode of Football In The Groin.
