superchunk probably won't be. He got a new job he has still get used to, plus he needs to relocate. Hence why he hasn't been on VGC in weeks and most likely won't return anytime soon.

In case he never returns, I say that superchunk will always be known as the greatest Arizona Cardinals fan this site has ever known!

I would like to join this year. I hope that I stay interested, can pretty much only watch on sunday and playoff saturdays.

I tend to favor 49ers and Steelers. I expect Steelers to do slightly better then last season but still pretty bad. 49ers I expect them to perform about the same as last season, maybe slightly worse.

Now the AFC East, boring division pretty much same as rol. I expect jets and bills to do equally bad, but I give the edge to Jets.

1. Patriots
2. Dolphins
3. Jets
4. Bills

1) Patriots
2) Dolphins
3) Jets
4) Bills

I could see the Jets hopping the Dolphins, but probably not.

Are you going to participate in the prediction league? amp316 is in, superchunk probably won't be. He got a new job he has still get used to, plus he needs to relocate. Hence why he hasn't been on VGC in weeks and most likely won't return anytime soon.

The reason I prefer talking about the games more than predicting games now. Is because I enjoy rooting for teams I want to win as compared to rooting for my predictions to be right. This ended up annoying me last year so I did not even try to predict correctly as often by the end of the season. I think this is mostly because the Broncos have been good enough to possibly win it all every year since Peyton came to town.
I will join casually, but if I do not finish it is probably for the reason I mentioned here.

The Broncos are good enough to win it all?  Did you watch the Super Bowl?  Crap started running down Peyton's leg the first play of the game and never stopped.  The NFC is a much stronger conference.

Patriots still on top of the AFC East, but I'd put the Jets at second place. Not because they're good, just because they're the least bad. I put the over/under on the Michael Vick Starter talks at 8 weeks tops though. Then flip a coin between the Dolphins and Bills. Heh, I remember when the Bills thought they had something figured out. Guess the Fitzmagic ran out...

The best division first, well well, I think it will end up this way:

1. New England Patriots
3. Buffalo Bills
2. Miami Dolphins
4. New York Jets

Why you ask:

Patriots are the Patriots, they went 12-4 last year with pretend receivers. Only thing that can derail the Pats is injuries to the o-line starters or at QB.

Bills are steadily improving and just need somewhat competent play from EJ Manuel to really turn the corner. Best RB set in the NFL(?) and a solid upgrade on WR with drafting Watkins and graduating Robert Woods. Even with a new defensive coordinator they should be solid again on D even though Byrd left. The loss of Alonso is the biggest issue but hopefully Brandon Spikes will fill some of that void.

Dolphins should be threatening for a playoff spot but they won't. Great head coach and I think Tannehill is a decent quarterback, the defense is very solid, but how are they going to move the ball? Can't throw it to the tight end every down and no one else can run or catch the ball.

Jets are not good, and didn't improve much where they need to get better. Stupid pickups from last year though Decker will probably be ok, but Geno Smith would have to take giant strides for it to even matter. The case with the Jets is that there's just not enough quality there.

Philbin's a great OC, and I'd welcome him back in a heartbeat, but I'm not convinced he's a good head coach. The results haven't been particularly impressive, and he didn't leave a good impression when the Dolphins did Hard Knocks in his rookie year.
