Ofcourse this is because they are being outsold by the competition in the first place. Microsoft wouldn't have switched to a games focus if it wasn't for the PS4 success.

Not really, I already have an external harddrive and want to just use that, I don't want to waste money on a seperate internal one that I can only use on my PS4. Its a pretty crappy option imo and I don't see why they don't offer external harddrive support.

And its to be expected, Microsoft is a Software company and Sony is a software company.

They'll probably get to it eventually, but personally I'm not in a rush for a new HDD, I'd rather have MP3 support. And since their winning they aren't in a rush to do things that aren't sales priority, like the youtube thing.

I dont really have a problem with Sony having less functionalities as Microsoft because the demand for more internal exclusives on Sony's end is always higher.

Agreed! Sony will do what they did last gen. Wait to see what Microsoft adds so Sony can do the same. Ex: cross game chat, video store, plus other small features I have seen over the years. If Microsoft brings the family sharing to the Xbox one and the ability to sell/trade/loan digital games then you can bet Sony to do the same.
