Ok. First you have to put worth into VGChartz pre-order chart. I know alot of people do not. But lets just say we believe these numbers.

USA Chart ending 7/26/14

1	Destiny (PS4) Activision, Action	7	40,934	571,388
2	Destiny (XOne) Activision, Action	7	42,809	448,997

Now lets look at USA console sales...

So my surprise here is that the X1 is only behind PRE-ORDERS with 112,391 less. This while the PS4 has a console advantage of 628,733.  This puts PRE-ORDER #'s at around the same percentage of BOTH consoles sold..  14-15%. 

So many have said that DESTINY was being marketed as if it were a PS4 exclusive. It was seem the general public has not thought this.  The seem to realize it is on both systems. 

Also interesting.. Combined PS3/PS4 pre-orders = 663,122..     X360/X1=634,622   only 28,500 seperates Sony vs Microsoft..

Anyone else surprised by this?   (Again... if you believe these charts)

do we know if this includes the bundles?

I am never sure what VGChartz count...  does it even count digital pre-orders??? who knows..

True, they don't seem that far apart which is somewhat surprising given the complete destiny+sony ads. The closest the XB1 will come to the PS4 will be in NA so pre-orders shouldn't be too shocking as NA will be MS's strongest region but in EU it's probably another story(and Japan)

Well Bungie is more associated with Xbox, so maybe that is playing a factor somewhat?

Well, yeah. Proportionally the difference shouldn't be all that big until the playstation exclusive marketing kicks in.

Playstation 4 is still behind when it comes to games attach rate. But its improving. It is the beginning of a new era when games attach rate will be higher than Xbox One.
