Bayonetta 2, certainly. A lot of people liked the first one. I didn't care for it but it definitely has a unique vibe. If it does well, it could convince publishers to finance a Wii U version for select third party titles. If it doesn't, big deal. It's a risk well worth taking.

Devil's Third? Eh. Looks very forgettable. I assure you, Playstation and Xbox fans were not impressed by the footage shown at E3. Hyrule Warriors is much more important than Devil's Third.

For a lot of Playstation/Xbox owners, the lack of genre depth on Nintendo consoles is a major issue. Adding atypical content can only help.

I thought Devil's Third look unpolished visually, but had a lot of stand out qualities to it. It's made by the guy who did the awesome Ninja Gaiden reboot. It combined elements of character action games with elements of the FPS genre. I also liked the customizable guild hall multiplayer maps, that looks really badass.

I don't think people will look too deeply at it though because the wrapper is a bit unappealing.

Timesplitters

Nintendo securing Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third reminds me a lot of when they got No More Heroes and Mad World on the wii. Sort of trying to expand the demographics, except these games are sort of the hormone addled twelve year old's idea of mature (I am glad that the op put mature in quotations) and won't go far in changing anyone's preconceived ideas of nintendo. I'm sure that comes off harsh but I don't mean it to be, I rather enjoyed no more heroes and mad world, though bayo wasn't my cup of tea; I don't mean to imply that they lack merit, besides the real difficulty is more that the audience they attract is very niche and their overall impact on the wii u's success will be minimal.

There's a tonne of support for Devil's Third though. Especially for it's multiplayer. Yeah, many people werent impressed with the graphics but it's the same principle as Bayonetta 2. A mature game that wouldnt see the light of day without Ninty, that's now exclusive. Plus, they still have a year to make it look impressive. Hyrule Warrior's original reveal looked pretty bad too.

Actually, I've only ever heard about it. Never seen or played it lol.

Although a lot of people keep bringing it up to me since I made that post. I take it people thought it was a good game?

It's the hormone-addled twelve year olds that are the backbone of most of the "mature" games anyway. Platinum's sense of style tends to double-cross that line to reach back to a more mature audience.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yes! 3 Timesplitters games were released for the GC/PS2/XBOX and they are very good thanks to their humor and the awesome multiplayer!
