Welcome back to The Rating Game.

Castlevania.

It's hard to believe that we've been hunting Dracula for over 4 decades now. From dark castles, to sewers, to fog filled forests, to even mystic relms. Armed  with the Vampire Killer, the Belmonts have sent Dracula back to the debts of hell countess times over.

Through over 40 games and 4 centuries, we have have some classics, along with a few stinkers, and also a few gems.

To many gamers, Castlevania is a renowned classic, that with every release, gamer's salivate with anticipation, hoping that the next release will be filled in that blood soaking whip wielding, sword slashing classic Castlevania feel.

Today were going to discus things a little differently.

Castlevania was created back in the 1980's, were now in the 2000's, so todays debate is,

- 1980 to 1989

Actually we`re in the 2010s;)

I say 2000-2009.

I am replaying Castlevania:Bloodlines on Genesis right now, a highly underrated game and one the best in my opinion. But if I would choose, than it is Dracula X from the PS/Saturn era.

I wish i could select two eras

Castlevania IV is by FAR my favorite. My second favorite games are from the PS2.

Around the Network

Easily 1990-2000
Super Castlevania IV and Bloodlines for SNES and Genesis were amazing

1990-2000 easily wins since it feature both my favorite Castlevania games (Super Castlevania IV and Symphony of the Night)

Signature goes here!

The 90s definitely.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

On one hand we have the 90s era ( Symphony of the Night which is in my top 10 and Super Castlevania IV which is the best classic Castlevania game imo), but the other hand we the 2000s era ( Dawn of Sorrow, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin are all amazing games)......... Yup, I am going with the 2000s era!
