Because those are last gen systems. Should Nintendo fans not complain at all then and accept this? I don't think so.

what kind of logic is that? the game was announced as PC PS360 and Wii U and was funded by users of thsoe systems. Whether they are last gen or not is irrelevant as they still funded the project. Not even sure why you brought that up.

My point is Wii U owners are still getting the game, so lets not act that they got screwed over, yes it sucks they have to wait but thats what it is. PS360 owners got a rawer deal and they arent complaining

And you think those PS360 people will not eventually get PS4/Xboxone?

I'm not even sure why you are justifying this delay and how it was done. Anyone who tries to downplay it is just accepting this kind of treatment. This isn't the first time the Wii U version of a third party game was treated as second rate too, but who cares since its the Wii U right? XD

Do you think every one those dozens of millions of PS360 people will get a PS4/X1 within the first couple of years? Late adopters are getting screwed. At least us Wii U owners are still getting the game on the console we own.

Yeah but because of what is happening, sales will be lower, it will affect future games coming on the system, Watchdogs is in the same boat, it's coming but at what cost, anyway if people dont get that this is a vicious cycle that effects the future of games coming, then I don't know what else to say

You want to know why sales will be lowered? Because whiny Wii U fanboys fuss and pout and decide to boycott a game just for being late, or get another version. Instead, we could wait for the game to come to Wii U, check videos and reviews to make sure it's on par or better than other versions, and buy it anyway, showing the world that there's an audience for this game, and maybe, just maybe we'd get treated with some respect. But no, that would be the smart thing to do. Let's just keep whining, boycotting, portbegging and bitching about third party games when someone does bother to bring it to the Wii U.

Look: I've made as many posts as ANYONE on this site about how Nintendo gets shafted on ports and how we don't have to take it: everything from EA sans Need For Speed, Splinter Cell, Ass Creed, Rayman Legends, Watch_Dogs and so on. But if a game arrives later than the rest and is equal to or better than the others, I can live with that. I'd rather have a late game that works than a quick and dirty port that runs like Ass Creed 3. And considering the Wii U's situation, later is better than never.

Lets not blame the customer if they don't get what they want

On time is better than later, why shouldn't customers voice their unhappyness, victim or customer blaming is assinine

Others that are not "fanboys" wont buy either as they wont know about it, marketing for this game like what will happen to Watchdogs will dry up by the time it's WiiU's turn, that's the publishers fault

I'm pretty sure most of the Wii U owners who planned to buy this game need no big marketing push.

If Wii U owners decide to boycott the game or buy another version just because it's arriving a little later,  then the blame falls to them. This will not be the first time in history a port has ever arrived later to one console than the others.

I should probably retract that point altogether since my original reply to the previous poster should have been that it shouldn't disregard the situation with the Wii U version.

The problem with boycotting is that this will just prove that the Wii U doesn't sell well with third parties. Its just frustrating that the situation had occurred in the first place. JMO though and you are free to disagree. XD

No, I completely agree. Which is why I feel like everyone who planned to buy it for Wii U should stop crying and do like I said above: wait it out, make sure the game is on par with the other versions, and buy it if it is. Bitching on forums doesn't change anything; actually buying something does.

Fair enough. If it gets the same treatment in quality, I won't bitch too much haha.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

Damn they should have chosen their words more carefully.

Slightly Mad Studios is exactly right. I'm a Wii U owner, and I want a realistic racing sim so I will wait patiently. I'm going to wait so patiently in fact that I'm going to wait even longer than 2015. I'm going to wait till the game is available for $10. Thanks for telling me how it is SMS. Your guidance has truly shown me the way.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

They're right, I can wait. For it to arrive in the bargain bin where most race sims end up fairly quickly.

I don't know why it is so hard for some people to understand that Wii U owners just want a 3rd party game to be released on time and run well.

This is going to backfire majorly. Now the Wii U owners who were planning to get this game, are probably going to boycott it, which they rightfully should. All my respect for Slightly Mad Studios is now gone. Jeez, this is like Dealwithit: The Sequel.

After reading this thread i can see why 3rd parties are skipping the Wii U.

I think it's about time someone asked serious questions about why it is always the Wii U that gets its versions delayed, stripped, and butchered. Who is paying the publishers to put less effort on Nintendo platforms? It is a fact that the majority of big-publisher backed games have been treated like turds on the Wii U. Ubisoft has done it. Crytek got shafted by EA when they had Crysis 3 practically done on Wii U; then all EA games disappeared, due to, get this: lack of sales. But which game did they release that was day/date with the other platforms? Oh, that's right. None. I have Need for Speed and it is a great game, but it came out MONTHS after the other versions. Nobody was going to buy systems for it, or the game. Obvious business failure.

As a marketing major, it makes no logical sense to me for what any 3rd party is using for justification in this complete lack of support of Wii U. I've been a gamer all my life. I'm the target audience for these games, like FIFA, Dragon Age, Batman, AC, Far Cry, Saints Row, Kingdom Hearts, Xenoblade, Mass Effect, etc. But have ANY of these games been even up to par on Wii U? No. And all the companies are using their own lack of effort as an excuse. "There will be no FIFA this year the system due to lack of FIFA 13 sales on Wii U". What a load of crap. I buy FIFA every year, and what did they give me? FIFA 12, two months after the other versions released, with gimmicky gamepad features. Now, look what they did with FIFA on Xbox One/PS4. How is that fair? How is that even logical? It's complete BS.

I thought at the time that EA might have been intentionally sabotaging Nintendo out of spite for perhaps foregoing the use of Origin. But now? I think everyone is in on it. Somebody is paying these people big money to skip Wii U and intentionally take the hit on their own games. If you stop rolling your eyes and take just a minute or two to think about it, it all seems plausible. Look at what 3rd party games DO come to Wii U: indies without big publishers; indies that are low-budget AND HAVE big publishers (Child of Light comes to mind), shovelware from big publishers (Just Dance, all those Barbie/Farm/My Bunny games), and games like Skylanders and Call of Duty which are million sellers no matter what crap you put in them. Has there really been any big 3rd party game that didn't suck to play? Yes, and it came from a Japanese publisher: Square Enix, with Deus Ex: HR Director's Cut. And in that case, I totally understand making other versions. I get it. There's little chance that game would have been a profitable exclusive. More than that, other consoles deserved it as the definitive version of the game they got before. That's happened once, and only once, has it been fair and okay. AC is the worst on Wii U. Batman had its own issues (Arkham Origins had its problem of being samey rather than poorly optimized). Mass Effect came way too late and was irrelevant. FIFA was irrelevant. Madden was terrible (also irrelevant in the market). Rayman was amazing, and yes, it sold the best on the Wii U. Why? Because that's the audience for it. And Ubisoft got either stupid/greedy (which makes no sense as Origins flopped on anything that wasn't the Wii or Steam), or paid off to prevent it from moving hardware units. It worked.

What have we Wii U owners gotten that's worth owning? NOTHING. Not one game. Nothing has come out that has been drama/delay free, without stripped features (SplinterCell? Where's the extra features? Batman... where's the multiplayer?), or performance issues (assassin's creed and others). People need to wake up and stop giving money to these companies.
