@.@ i never said you were fixating on it...I was just saying that the part of my comment where I off-handedly said that he sounded like a fanboy wasn't my main point (as clarification, not as an attack of your comment). I never stated whether or not I agree/disagree with his opinion, I just felt that he was jerking Sony a little too hard (so to speak)...

I have already said that the PS4 is doing well a bunch of times, but is the 3DS destroying the Vita really something to brag about despite it being down YOY and significantly behind the DS? Its doing well, but it isn't something to brag about...

As you said, the market isn't a vacuum. The things that happened in the past, continue to set the bar for what happens going forward, which is why it seems weird to be so proud of the way the PS4 is selling (see Jumpin's comment too). Additionally, while the PS4 is doing well, as I said, the argument (that this video is responding to) isn't so much that the PS4 doesn't deserve to be selling like it is, it is that the PS4 doesn't deserve to be selling so well relative to its competitors, and that is why the video itself doesn't really make much sense as a rebuttal.

That...that isn't what I said. I said that he was overselling it, coming on too strong. i didn't say anything about whether I agreed or disagreed with those statements.

Nope can't take Brokengamez seriously. Dude's got a mega bias towards Sony and is almost as a big of a pain in the ass to sit through and watch as Blackb0nd, Doctre, Arbiter, or Zaire. Seems like one of those instances where he's trying to bring up some argument against the other camp while making more of an issue out of it then what it really is.

Sooooooo I guess every generation before the Wii were also duds and every generation here after will be a dud.....seeing as the Wii was like catching lighting in a bottle. But I guess that is the standard now if a console doesn't sell like the Wii it is a dud....got it. 

Oh please, we all know PS4 sold out because Xbox owners don't trust Microsoft after that DRM policy anymore! And those who still bought XBONE got humiliated when you compare multiplat games' resolutions on PS4 or even Wii U games.

You mean making videos? I think the majority of people here can... So yeah. 

Just would take time getting used to talking in front of the camera. I thought about making a YT  account to talk gaming, but why would I want to be apart of the crumb side of youtube? All it is is grown ass men calling each other out and trying to expose one another. Look at B0nd and his "Tales of the $12,000 PC day 102"... etc, or grown men proving to the world they have money for "buying a 4K tv". Generalizing fanbases, and petty back and forth? No thanks :)

Well first of all, I was saying that that was the actual argument that the video should have been rebutting but I will make a case for it. However, I acknowledge that there is a counterpoint to my point which is what the video should have explained.

Argument:
XBO and PS4 are currently the same price and share many of their biggest games both out now and upcoming. In addition, the XBO has just as strong of a lineup for the rest of the year as the PS4 if not stronger. The XBO will be supported heavily by third parties and receive exclusives like Halo and Forza and Gears of War and whatnot, which were all very popular last gen. Looking at both consoles, PS4 doesn't deserve to be outselling the XBO so easily.

Once again, I will say that I know that there is a counterpoint to my argument (feel free to give it if you want) which I will not argue, but that counterpoint is what the video should have explained. As is, the video serves no purpose (imo)

PS4 in four weeks of June after launch: 412,761
Wii in four weeks of June after launch: 1,027,971
360 in four weeks of June after launch: 319,063
PS3 in four weeks of June after launch: 239,757

PS4 is performing more like 360 or PS3 than Wii by a large margin, and 360 didn't really get started properly until a year after launch, and PS3 took even longer. The PS4 isn't selling nearly as well as people think - it was doing very well around launch, but despite popular belief, it's not doing nearly as well now as strong consoles have in the past.

The fact that XBO and Wii U are selling even worse, and that the PSV is selling poorly and the 3DS isn't doing much better than the PS4, demonstrates how anaemic the video game industry is right now.
