Not all of them, actually not a considerable share of them.
The internet conection that PSNow requires to run smoothly is very expensive or not even available in a lot of places aside from NA, EU and JP/KR.
A lot of players will miss it and a remaster is a way to grant they a chance to play it, if they were in 360/Wii last gen.

I guess you're right in that sense.

What about the games that do make people want the PS4? Do we just forget their existence? Since when do Remasters, here-and-there, represent the entire library?


For now we have shooters and driving games. Infamous as a niche audience, and I'm quite interested in the shmup but i'm not a majority.

It still lacks RPG and platformers IMO. Of course it's less popular now, but it's still an audience that won't find the ps4 attractive this year, while they might already look at the competitors line up.

50% didn't buy a PS3 even for a cheap price but already bought a PS4 for 399 bucks. To me that sounds as if they didn't have a PS3 because they weren't very interested in games like Uncharted. Most who will buy the ports will be probably people who had the games already on PS3 and liked them a lot there. I think most who switched to a PS4 are people who play only games like CoD, Battlefield or something like that...

The reason is probably that ports seem to be not very expensive and as long as you can make money with them they will do them. Development of new games like The Order seem to be very expensive compared to that.

I mean, an exampe on Xbox One would be the Master Chief Collection. I think most who will buy that are people who are Halo fans and not people who never had the chance to play these games before. Would be a pretty stupid in my opinion to argue that the Master Chief Collection is for people who never played the games and not that this collection is mostly for the fans.

Sony should just have 1 or 2 small teams (not whole studios) dedicated to remasters for PS4. So many great PS3 games have yet to be played by the converts and/or were held back by the hardware late in their cycle.

Applies to all consoles.

Remasters/remakes should only apply to games that are really old OR really hard to obtain.

This would be really cool as I missed out on the Uncharted series last generation. I'm so glad I bought a PlayStation 4 this generation as Sony seem to genuinely care about us gamers!

I like this, i would really like to see the first uncharted remastered and the series as a whole would be great to play through again.

The nerd rage is imbecilic at best about remasters, it doesnt take a whole large team to do these things peeps calm the hell down. dont buy the crap if you dont want it. very very simple, they are still making new IPs and a new uncharted ffs.
