Consoles maybe, but it's all a matter of opinion really.
For a console, the games look great but it can't compete with PC's.

So we agree :)
It really is top of the crop.
Remains to be seen if developers will use it for anything worthwhile.

Or a wrong one as well...
I'll say they look good, but as a PC gamer I'll also snidely have to say that it'd be better if they were also running at 60 fps
Current Consoles: Gaming PC, Wii U, 3DS

Havent seen anything match Uncharted 4's level of detail. Not even on high end PC... But then again no PC developers are putting that much effort into a single character. Drake looks near CGI in that small U4 clip! I was shocked when i heard it wasnt CGI. |
The graphics looks great, period. But when people say "I have NEVER seen something like U4, the game that will be out a year (or so) from now and that we dont have a gameplay footage" i have to call this out
Infamous Second Son: looks gorgeus, in pics, in motion, in everything. But when we take a closer look we see low-quiality reflections (in details), a not-that-good draw distance (in details again) as if they where using tricks to push it. (leaving aside the fps department) I will search for that image later
I DONT want to start a dick measurement between ps4 and PC. We need to acknowledge that these doesnt have "graphics", they have hardware that push graphics and it depends on each developer to make graphics great, not that great or average. Of course PC will always have more potential for this, as there is a new GPU every year or less but devs dont aim for that small porcentage of gamers
With that said, we shall only talk about how good it really looks when they´re out, whether its "in-engine" or "in-game" footage.

This is why IGN split its best Graphics award into two categories: technology and art. Every other media outlet should do the same imo because art is subjective while graphics is based on facts (res, fps, polycounts, physics etc). |
I like the way you think.

Whereas before i upgraded components every 2 years, i don't plan on upgrading now until the next generation of consoles. |
EXACTLY.
i don't mean to disparage PC too much but there are no AAA PC exclusive developers anymore. the pc exclusives are all indie with smaller budgets and the big games are multiplatform with consoles.
ps4 really should have the best looking games this gen. it's the best spec'd consoles and the best spec'd device with developers making games that will leverage ever last ounze of power. pc's are going to get higher resolution/framerate versions of games built around the idea of still being multiplatform with xbone.

To be fair Im not sure if any open world action game on PC looks as good as Infamous, though we dont have many to compare to either.
