Xbox actually has a really hard core, dedicated fan base in Japan. It may be extremely small, but it's there. I have a few Japanese friends on XBL and I personally asked them about it and they're fanatical for Xbox.

This is probably the result of that.

I have a feeling that X1 will have a really good launch, by Xbox standards. The few fans they have are probably very dedicated, considering they are in Nintendo/Sony land :).

It will not sell any numbers that make any difference whatsoever. Whether it is 10K or 20K or 50K launch mean squat all. The battle is fought in US and in Europe, and in general against the combined might of mobile/resurgent PC/Steam etc.
