It say major retailers have offered discounts. It mentions one did 5% on console skus, others did 10% on games and accesories.


This is obviously no indication the X1 is gonna be a big hit in Japan. But its still good news.

I remember when I pre order the xbox 360 here in the states and the retailer only got in 10 Consoles. This means nothing. This retailer could only have 10 to sell maybe 1k without him saying we had X amount to pre order and all of them sold it means nothing.

360 had a very niche, yet devout community. I imagine they are upgrading now. After launch, I don't expect much more spikes in demand.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I can imagine this being like those "sales increased [insert huge percentage here]" threads. Like how Vita increased 486% on Amazon. Which translated to them selling about 1000 more than usual. I remember how the guy at Target told me PS4 sold out within an hour but then went on to say that his store only received 13 consoles. Trust me, if XBOX fans are looking for a saving grace for XBOX One Japan is not it!
