Forums - Gaming Discussion - Gamers are getting what they (we) deserve with games like Wolfenstein New Order

After the Watch dogs reviews I'll be picking this up instead. Wolfenstein seems to have a lot more soul than Watch dogs from what I've seen.

I'd buy Wolfenstein if I could, but I just can't afford it right now. I have my money saved for Murdered: Soul Suspect. I have no other choice but to wait until the game hits the bargain bin or I won the lottery :(

maybe you could sell some games you already have and dont play right now..... like dead rising 3.

Mayyyybe...

From what you say it sounds like this game is pretty awesome. It's such a pity I still don't have a PS4, as I'd buy it for it to support such a game.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

LMAO. Hey, we should all go into threads and openly admit to not playing the game the thread is based on, then talk badly about the game, stating 100% untrue things like it is generic and not worth the entry price, and then maintain our opinion of said game we have never played is totally valid.

I don't need to play a game to know if I think it's worth buying at it's current asking price.

Right, but just because you personally don't think the game is worth buying at its current asking price based on whatever non game playing experience reasons you have, doesn't mean in any way that the game actually isn't worth buying at its current asking price.  Anyone could say that about any game that doesn't interest them.  And this game isn't generic at all which you wouldn't know as you haven't played it.  Everything you said in this thread has zero validity or basis as you have never once played the game.  If you openly admit to not playing a game but then talk down on it, you should expect to be called out accordingly.

I've seen gameplay. I know how the game plays. It looks generic and not worth $60. I've seen reviews that talk in depth about the game. They all tell me things that make it obvious that it isn't worth $60. I'm not going to buy a game just to prove to some random that I have credebility in my opinion of a game, and I'm not going to even get into how I shouldn't have to prefice everything I say with "in my opinion" just so people like you don't get the wrong idea. I've played a hundred and one games like Wolfenstein, and I think it's just a generic shooter. I'm sorry, but dual wielding and stealth segments don't change that. And being a good generic shooter doesn't change it either.

Maybe I'll eat my words though. Maybe I'll eat crow. In five months. When it's $20.

You don't have to preface anything with anything.  Your opinion of this game has zero credibility as you have never played it.  I hope you end up enjoying it when you get around to it.  I have played it, and liked it, and hope you do also.

So true. Unfortunately that's what VGC has became. People bad mouth games or consoles they haven't played or have any intention of playing without even giving them a fair chance.

I know this will sound harsh, but a generic FPS about killing Nazi's after a generation like the one we've just had just isn't worth $60, no matter how polished it is.

Generic FPS about killing nazis? Do you know a single thing about Wolfenstein?

I've seen gameplay. It's generic. Again, it may be good, but that kind of experience isn't worth $60.

Its hard to call a game generic that you have never played.
