I just noticed in the Global Yearly charts the Wii has already sold more than 7 million software, but barely has any titles that sold anything significant. Only titles in the top 100 are Just Dance 2014 at nr. 51(341k), Mario Kart Wii at nr. 87(206k), Skylanders Swap Force at nr. 96(193k) and NSMB at nr. 97(192k).

Also the Wii-U is only at 4.2 million and XOne is at 5.3 million. Has VGChartz pulled out the magic number hat again?:

It is definitely possible it would have more software sold than Wii U, less likely X1 but again possible. Over a 100 million consoles out there, there is likely many millions of people still buying games.

Or it might be a mistake.

Does Ninty provide software totals in their financial reports? It seems way too high to me.

Wii outdoing Wii U and Xbox One is still very much possible, but 7 mil. compared to 4.2? Shame on you Wii U, if those numbers are true.

There are people still buying Wiis too, if you look at the this week's chart its about 9,000 people. Also it's being staying at about 10,000 a week for a quite a while now.

well if 7 mil out of those 100 mil people bought a game it is like 7% of Wii user base, it is totally possible.
I have bought 4 games in the last 5 months (now they are like £10 new in Argos UK) and I have pre-order 3 Wii games myself today (NSMBWii - SMG2 andMParty) selects to add to my collection)

Seems legit. Just Dance 2014 and Skylanders/Disney Infinity on Wii sell much better than most WiiU/XOne games.
