I'm not 100% on this but it seems likely.

WiiU might be able to hold or even widen its current lead on PS4 in 2014 but 2015 will be the year PS4 has its comeback and it will finish off the WiiU in 2016.

I base this on future PS4 exclusives(read PS4 and multiplat games only for PS4 and X1.

You realize that the PS4 is tracking behind the Wii U within the same time frame in sales there, right? The PS4 will never catch the Wii U. None of the PS4 exclusives have the power to boost the PS4 past the Wii U in Japan.

That's not bold, that's plain stupid.

But I'll say even 2015 might be a stretch. They still have to close that gap but at the pace it is going it will take some time.

If final fantasy xv, kingdom hearts 3 and metal gear solid 5 blahblahblah do release by the end of 2015 as they are slated to then the ps4 should overtake the wii u next year. And if it can't overtake the wii u with those games then the home console market in Japan is confirmed dead.

All that matters is that it is currently selling better. And as long as it sells better every week it will catch it eventually.
