Or maybe more people are more satisfied with the PS4 over the Xbox One. Or Maybe more people are more satisfied with a PlayStation product over an Xbox One which would make them more inclined to buy another PlayStation product (PS4). Just maybe. "We could point to any number of things." Just not the ones that don't favor the Xbox One.

What a legendary phrase. I don't think any company has ever used a lack of sales as an opportunity to brag. This will go down in history as one of the greatest PR spins of all time, at least in my mind. Of course the logic is terrible, but that's what makes it all the more epic. Playstation fan or Xbox fan, I think we all can sit back and enjoy this glorious spin with a smile.

My only issue with the statement is that I didn't think of it first.

XB1 is selling less than PS4. 

No, really, that is his logic. That and that PS4 is in more countries than the XB1.

 

If people weren't satisfied with their 360s and the XB1 was in as many countries as the PS4 the gap would be much smaller and/or the XB1 would be winning overall.

Makes you wonder then why they are in such a rush to drop the Kinect and slash $100 off the price after all the things they stated about how the Kinect was so integral to the XB1 experience.

Now you're just spouting nonsense. The FF XIII trilogy sold 8 million on the PS3 alone. Final Fantasy X sold 6.6 million (and that was only of 2004). Final Fantasy XII sold 6 million. Bravely Default sold around 1 million. Dark Souls sold around 3 million. And guess what? At least half, if not more, of those sales were in the west.

JRPGs are not niche. Not even close. 


Sure keep on living in denial.  But the reallity is that they are a niche genre.  If they where not then a majority of people on this site would know who the chararter in my avatar is.  Also 8 million across three titles really isn't much every major FF title on the PS1 sold more then that by itself.


What's the name of the main character of Resistance?

I don't know. I guess shooters are niche too.
