You do realize that the PS2 sold over 60 million units more.  When you factor in that major fact none of the FF titles on the PS2 came even close to being as popular as the three major ones on the PS1 (FF7,8 and 9).


OHMYGOD you're right ! Look at the Gears of War sales ! And God of War, and Uncharted, and The Last Of Us, and Fable ! Action/Adventure and RPG sold so badly ! 

 

Oh, in case you didn't notice, I was sarcastic. Just because a genre of game doesn't sell 8+M by game doesn't mean the genre is in a bad shape. Seriously.

There are people in this thread defending this kind of response when they would clearly go against it when Sony did it in the PS3 era.

But you know, shifting arguments to suite agendas and all that jazz.

One funny thing i read in the past few weeks is following

The PS3 pumped out much more exclusives and even one of the best games of all time with The Last of Us while Microsoft didn't do anything for the 360 and just lived of CoD

Hey that's not fair, they immediately fessed up to knowing about releasing the 360 with improper soldering 2 years after the fact!
