Kinnect is now optional.  The One can now be had at the same price as a PS4.  Will you now consider getting an XBox One?

On Amazon, the preorder for the new Kinectless Xbone is sitting at #98 after two days. What people aren't figuring is that the Xbone has actually been cheaper than this price already WITH Kinect and it had minimal impact on sales. $450 Titanfall bundle anyone?

Wasn't interested to start with, not interested to continue with. My problem is that I really don't like how Microsoft has handled both of their previous generations and I'm not willing to jump on the wagon until I see definite proof that the tides are changing at Microsoft.
That may be a few years down the line. In the meantime, Sony's at their 6th console and all their previous ones have been good to me, in some way or another. I don't see a reason to take the plunge anytime soon.

Same story with one of my best friends.  He loves Halo and Gears but says he is tierd of both series and doesn't like the direction they are going in.  He got a PS3 after a 360 and a wii, and it is the only one he never regretted getting.  PS4 was a nobrainer for him.

X1 will win a lot more people over when it hits $299 and has a noteworthy library of exclusives.

That might take two years.

The X1 isn't in a vacuum though.  The PS4 could be $300 by then and will have god knows how many exclusives.

can you explain the principle for me please? i cant seem to understand it.

Fair enough. The principle that ones loyalty to one brand prevents the purchase of the biggest competition, by default. No exceptions.

Nintendo isn't part of the X1/PS4 picture so its ok for us to buy a 3ds or a WiiU as a side purchase.

but why does this principle exist? what's the rationale behind it?

Human nature? The need to belong/identify with something that it becomes apart of you and therefore see competition as competition to what you stand for?  Look, I don't make the rules, people in all sorts of ways not limited to gaming, identify themselves to things and react accordingly.

You can point out the flaws in the principle, but doesn't chaneg that many people do feel this way, in and outside of gaming, and it is my personal observation that a ton more gamers with a PS bias share this principle then any other faction.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

No. MS doesn't have any franchises worth getting one for yet.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I'm saying people only interested in PS4 will develop an interest in X1.

I voted yes. this is exactly what I wanted. I'm seriously thinking about getting an xboxone later this year. I mainly want it for the halo games and dead rising 3.

No.

I've always considered a One, but I'll only get one after Halo 5 releases.

i already have a PS4 so i see no need for an xb1. maybe in 3 to 4 years if MS keeps pumping out exclusives like Sunset over drive. if Microsoft support the Xb1 like they did the 360 there is no doubt in my mind that i will not get an xb1.

Same, I have no interest in the XB1, but as above, show me some games and show support for the system then maybe sometime down the line

Same here. They never support their console long term and lack original games and variety of exclusives.

They gave up on the Xbox and the games I wanted like Bioshock, Mass Effect and Ninja Gaiden came to PS3.

Then they keep relying on generic Gears and Halo which I can get the same experience on PS already and the same with Forza and Fable.Right now nothing announced is appealing for $399.
