Let's be serious here.  When has Sony actually had a good E3 and by good E3, I mean not worse than both Microsoft and Nintendo? I'm not talking about winning simply because of a price announcement, etc. I'm talking about winning E3 because of all the games. Every single E3 Sony has showed the least amount of interesting "new" games.. On E3 2012 half of the entire conference was Wonderbook, something that was a complete waste because not even the people it was aimed towards wanted it..

Sony has had best E3s since 2009 onwards.  Sure a few crappy moments in a  conference or two like Wonderbook, but Nintendos have all been awful, MS all had ridiculous amounts of Kinect, Sports talk, kids and multiplats including a yearly CoD video that looks like every other CoD.  Sony conferences have always shown off a decent amount of exclusives compared to MS, especially in the last 3 years since MS has had almost nothing while Sony kept supporting PS3.

Microsoft had more exclusive games last E3. They showed all core games the whole E3. Only the DRM thing marred MS win. Gamewise they stommped all over Sony last E3.

Frame rate and resolution would have marred the win as well if they wernt using PC's to show off games which later got downgraded for the xbox.

We can talk about ifs and buts all day, but what happened happened.

I don't care who win, it will be funny to see, like each time.

I think... well, hope, we see a new IP or two. Out of the established/known games and franchises, I suspect we'll see:

The Order- Fall 2014
Drive Club- Fall 2014
Uncharted 4- Nov 2015
GT7 Prologue- 2015

Possible reveals:
Media Molecule game (possibly an LBP title)- 2015?
Quantic Dream Game- 2016?
God of War- March 2015

And I really hope they resurrect/reboot Syphon Filter. I think it'd be the perfect time for a truly modern version.

Can they do it though? When they tried it with the PSP games, it slowed down the pace to a borefest. Logans shadow was better than dark mirror but i'm unsure they are able to bring the series back to what it was. Even golden abyss was lukewarm.

I wish they could pull it off though.

I think having them as PSP games did more harm than good. They modernised the mechanics but they're limited by being on portable hardware. Having seen a little of what the PS4 is capable of in the new infamous game, I think its the perfect franchise to further show off the hardware. It's also been 7 years or so since the last release so a reboot of sorts could work.

I have my popcorn ready just like last year and i was not disappointed.

Out with the PS4 exclusive JRPGs already. Lets see a PS1/PS2 JRPG dominance again.

Curious what makes people think GT7 will be in 2015, 2 years after GT6.

Because GT6 was a 3 year dev cycle on established hardware. So logically GT7 would take another 3 years. But then again its newer, more powerful hardware, so it could be 4 years.

But what makes you think GT7 just started development after GT6's release? All of Sony's first party studios have been on board with PS4 games development for a while now. There's no reason why GT6 wasn't simply a placeholder while Polyphony is hard at work on GT7. The only thing that would keep from having a release in the near future would be Sony not wanting it to compete with DriveClub.

I don't know, Kylie. Nintendo's E3 2010 conference was pretty darn good from what I remember!

It was only good because of Skyward Swords reveal. I don't think Ninty will ever top their 2005 presentation.

greatness awaits indeed

Unless sony makes a MASSVE blunder, or ms does something so amazing that I can't even think of at e3, playstation 4 is winning this holiday.
