Once again, you're putting emphasis only on frame rate and resolution. A 720p game can have better visuals than a 1080p game.

Eitherway, I don't even care if it has "Best in Class Visuals". As other people in this thread have pointed out, Gears games on the 360 still look great. They'll be able to raise the bar further on X1 and that's all I'm looking for.

I'm putting emphasis on them since they are what the visuals are being presented as, thus they are directly responsible for the resources required to pull the visuals off. A 720p/60fps game has chosen to give up the clarity of 1080p/30fps for smoother gameplay. Going for the first of those two is actively giving up some of the games visuals, which contradicts the statement they made.

You said that you're guessing they are aiming for 60fps, I've simply been explaining why that's unlikely based on what they said. That's all ^^

well if its 60 fps using 100% of xbox ones power it wont look as good as 30fps using 100% of its power cuz the framerates would use up some resources so if they wanted the absolute best 30 seems like a good option

with dx12 i expect nothing less

After reading the article, I'm not so sure they are gonna be developing with the utilization of dx12. I believe MS is gonna be very strick with Black Tusk tho to make sure this game comes out great either way

it is. it was in the job article. this game is releasing 2016 and dx12 is for 2015. why wouldnt they? its using a tool thats one of the core foundations of dx12.

I wish microsoft would stop the promises and delivered the goods.

I always think that when they try to make us believe something with words its because they arent confident that the product can speak for itself.

Reminds me of when the FFXIII LR team was tapping each other in the back saying what a great job they did on those developer diaries before the game came out.
Please Microsoft, stop trying to convince us with words.

I agree wholeheartedly. I like to refer to it as the "Molyneaux Mentality"

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

I read through this thread and holy hell did it go down hill.

Yeah this whole thread did go downhill very quickly...lol.

I don't expect to see anything at E3 for Gears, they have only just started and it takes time (as can be seen by them building a team)...

I'm going to ask what everybody is thinking. Which class?

The XB1 class.

the development of this game started 2 months ago and they already know that? lol

If you make that the goal and have MS's money to help make it happen... well it certainly becomes feasible.

Also, I assume they're using the Unreal 4 engine.
