Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Has Wii U support really been that bad?

Ok many people have their theories as to why the Wii U hasnt taken off, a couple of examples are lack of 3rd party and Nintendo struggling to get games out quickly enough. But has support, both 1st and 3rd party really been that bad so far?

1st party

So far we have had a 2D Mario and a brilliant 2D spin off wirh Luigi  U

SM3DW is up there with the great Mario games

DKTF is as good as previous games in the series with added polish.

A long overdue Pikmin game

A high quality remake of one of the best Zelda games.

Mini game compilations for casuals in Wii party U, Nintendo land , Game and Wario and Wii Fit U

Exclusives

3 game exclusive with the Sonic brand

Lego City Undercover

Zombi  U

Wonderful 101

Monster Hunter Ultimate

3rd Party

2 Call of duty games

2 Assassins creed games

3 Batman games

Definitive version of the brilliant Rayman Legends

 Lego games

A  share of other multiplats

A plethora of great Indie titles on the Eshop.

Even discounting the great line up 2014 has yet to offer, i think Wii U has been well supported thus far with more than enough gaming content. There seems to be something for everyone, i for one have been very happy with whats been on offer for Wii U.

Its bad from a third party perspective compared to the ps4 and x1 but great from a first party + second party perspective

Multi-plat wise the Wii U is not really the hottest thing on the market, but exclusive-wise it's doing pretty well!

The exclusives have been great, and multiplats like the Batman games and Splinter Cell Blacklist have really complimented my gaming library.

Depends on what you compare it with. If you compare it with nothing then yes, good support. If you compare it with the insane support X1 and PS4 are getting in their launch year it's nothing.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

just go to your local game website and look at the preorder lists of each systems.

Then tell me if support has been bad.

For someone who buys ALOT of games Wii U isn't enough to keep your dick wet.

Im viewing it as a standalone product and not comparing it to anything. I admit im a Wii U only owner, but there is more than enough content now and future to keep me a happy gamer. I dont feel the need to go out and buy multiple consoles this gen.

Without checking I believe EB have WiiU down to a page now right??

OT:  its a Nintendo home console, that their is enough to stop the thing from selling.

But yeah support is pretty fucking bad compared to PS360 and soon PS4XBO will start getting every game the PS360 once had so its no surprise people are choosing those consoles instead.

For 3rd party multiplats, yes, it's that bad.  But Nintendo have proven that they can still persevere in spite of this handicap.  The biggest problem was WiiU's eight month post-launch drought for 1st party games, which is the main reason people buy their consoles.

Having said that, since August of last year the WiiU has been on fire from a quality standpoint and in that regard its library currently demolishes the PS4/XB1's offerings put together (my opinion, of course).
