Since it's way less than half as powerful as PS4, really only a price cut to an appropriate $199 would help it gain any true momentum at this point in time.

Sorry, I was typing on my phone because I was in sequentials class. I was saying there will be no other games at E3. This is exactly why I believe Nintendo is doing the Nintendo Directs, because without third party they cannot outshine Sony and Microsoft at E3. 90% of the hottest games that come out at E3 are third party and the rest are exclusive to some platform and even there Sony and Microsoft will give each other a run for their money. I would be extremely surprised to see Nintendo get back on the stage this year with Mario kart and Super Smash headlining their year. As i said before, poor Wii U because the 3DS is the primary Nintendo console for sure this gen without any competition from its parent console. Many more people will buy 3DS over the primary console this gen (remember the trend going on in japan with lack of console sales but high handheld sales?) and Mario Kart and Super Smash. Nintendo has just given great reason to cannibalize Wii U sales. Now that people have multiplayer they want to play the game with their friends and the 3DS does that competitively with the Wii U.

mega facepalm. no other games at E3? you think nintendo will show TWO games at E3? one already released and the other already announced? and they easily outshine sony and ms with their games, like always. the 3ds- wii u comparisson is too surreal.


As in no other games that will bring them out of the predicament. Zelda would help for braggingr rights but its not coming. its going to be the tecmo game. I am calling E3 2015 to be pretty good for them. This year is all about Smash and Mario kart.

Well the question is whether we think Nintendo has anything else right? Well...obviously they've contacted tecmo to make a reskined Zelda/Dynasty Warriors  game for a reason. When they are in a tight space they get desperate and try to get out of it. I am giving them until 2015 to get out of it. I've been around long enough to realize when Nintendo is in a funk.

Mario Kart 8 - Will be the biggest system seller to date for WiiU, won't change the course of the system tho.
Bayonetta 2 - Late Summer? Won't boost sales whatsoever.

The exclusives will help sell consoles to Nintendo fans... But as more 3rd party developers only announce new titles for the XOne and PS4 people will take notice. Going into the 3rd year of a console and NOT getting big name multi-plats will HURT the Wii U..

I DO think that if the system hits $199 though that many will NOT have an issue buying it for those great "Nintendo" games since it will compliment their PS4 or Xbox One purchase.

This looks realistic, but I am sure at E3 they will have a few more first party announcements.

Ill give you that. its not marketed as much as PS4 or xone, but its not that bad. I see commercials and ads, but IMHO it still wont help much. Vita has even worse advertisment and its been doing better weekly than WIi U on average.

Thats not the point I was making. I never said they were going to just pick it up on a whim. You say no one knows about it. I say you are wrong because they are in stores, huge chains. But that goes back to my initial point they see it and they just dont care. So its not that they dont know WIi U exists it just does nothing for them.

No one is saying that Ninty is only releasing two games. WHat people are saying is that thsoe are the only two games that matter in actually moving significant HW. You think they are going to announce anything at E3 the level of Kart or Smash? doubt it.

I don't consider it a price drop unless the price is the lowest it's ever been. They basically up'd the storage and bundled a game with the basic. I guess you can count it if you want but I don't. Anyone who wanted a Wii U could've gotten one for $300 since launch. It hasn't been any lower. (Officially)

I have only seen ads for 2 games, Lego City over a year ago and 3D World during the Holiday and that's it. If that "isn't that bad" to you then that's fine. It's your opinion.

Gamers know about it sure but regular consumers wouldn't. I didn't mean it like that. I was saying that the average person going to a store or shopping online, knows ahead of time what they plan on buying. Unless they go the gaming section, they won't notice the Wii U exists to the point of looking into it. By this I mean, if someone goes to Walmart to get a plant and happens to walk by the gaming section on their way and see a Wii U sign, they likely won't stop to check it out. This goes for the PS4 or XBO too. Most people don't just check out random products for fun. They would have to hear about it beforehand from an ad, commercial, or word of mouth.

Maybe not on the exact level of Kart or Smash but something that can surely help, yes I do. The NFC game could attract children and Miyamoto also is working on a new game. Plus, Animal Crossing is also pretty big now. Then you have the possibility of a remake. ZTWWHD, while not selling significant systems did help during last Holiday. A remake of Super Mario 64 or something could definily attract decent attention.

Seece pretty much said what i was going to, ill add that people swear X is coming this year, but is that a WW release or JUST Japanese? I seriously doubt we'll see an english version this year if at all.
