Wii Party U was heavily bundled in Japan and you know that.

How well is Nintydogs doing now? Xenoblade? It did alright but nowhere near the numbers of the games i suggested. Endless OCean? you really have set the bar low.

I dont have to indict anyone because lets be real, you rarely hear about PS360 owners complain about not getting new IPs. YOu can list whatever game you want fact is Sony and MS systems get a LOT of new IPs 1st and 3rd party and good job picking the most obsucre games you can find. Those games you mentioned did great especially considering the reviews they got and the genre they belong too. Dragons Crown? A beat em up released full retail in this day and age. I have the game its great. But im shocked it did as well as it did and thats not counting digital.

So you'll use genre to try to excuse the poor sales of something like Dragon's Crown, but ignore that it's genre that makes Xenoblade and Endless Ocean's sales quite good in context.

But somehow it magically doesn't count when PS3/360 gamers ignore new IPs...

Yeah, get your hopes up! It has always served well with Nintendo.

I got excited there for a second.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

That's cos people say they want new IPs, but when it comes time to put down the pennies, they shun the unfamiliar.

Last of Us, Dishonored, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Infamous, Heavy Rain, etc. All those games are still fairly recent IPs that were introduced in PS360/Wii era and they all did good, im talking the original games. Im sorry but this whole people dont accept new IPs is a fallacy. Plenty of new ones do good. MAYBE what you need to start saying is Ninty owners say they want new IPs but shun the unfamiliar. Becasue after all, its always NINTY that needs to make new IPS. You rarely hear someone say that about Sony, or alot of 3rd parties. Xbox to a much lesser extent.

Wii Sports/Fit/Play/Resort/Party sold 8m-80m a pop, and it was a new IP last gen. ;)

It's not just Nintendo gamers; for every new IP that takes off on PS3/360, countless others are shunned in favour of the latest COD, Assassin's Creed, etc. (Vanquish, Lollipop Chainsaw, Dragon's Crown, Eternal Sonata, etc)

WOw. ONE new IP out of the bunch. YOu kind of proved my point. ANd i would say those sold mostly to the more blue ocean group. Considering that series is selling like crap now.

Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Wii Party are all seperate ip

No they're not. They are spinoffs. Thats like saying the upcoming Hyrule Warriors is a different IP

There is no way in hell u honestly believe Wii Sports and Wii Fit are the same ip, they belong In different genres with vastly different goals/gameplay, the only thing they share Is using Miis. Thats like saying Smash Bros and Mario Kart are the same ip because Mario is in both.

they are the same IP, they might be different SERIES. just like say Metal Gear solid is a different series than Rising. Those are two different genres are those now new IPs.

WHat? Jrpgs are way more popular. LOL not to mention xenoblade got a LOT more hype. In its home country and every where else. Endless Ocean? Did it really do that good? I would say its ok at best considering it sold on a 100mil console.

Doesnt matter if PS360 gamers ignore SOME new IPs never said they didnt. but they embrace newer ones more so than Ninty. Thats being proven weekly by the sales of Wii U and to a lesser extent Wii games vs. the PS MS machines.

Dragons Crown is the best selling vanillaware game ever, and cost only ~$1 million to make. So, no, the sales have been awesome for it and Atlus and Vanillaware agree with that.

Hype doesn't disqualify Xenoblade's sales. And Endless Ocean passed a million despite many going so far as to say it wasn't even a proper game. (Can't die/lose, etc)

Did a Nintendo fan run over your dog or something? Because it seems everything you ever post here is bashing Ninty and/or its fans.

That's good for them, but its still an example of a new IP selling a fraction of what established franchises do.

Never said it did. whats up with your reading comprehension? ONe game got more attention than the other not to mention its in a more popular genre. Of course it would have sold better. Endless Ocean released on a system with a large install base. MUCH worst games have done just as well.

Dont dodge the inquiry now. LOL Prove to me that Ninty owners embrace newer IPs as much as SONY MS guys do. We are on a data site. We got years worth of data. if you cant then conversation over

I don't see Zelda U coming till Spring 2015, would be to close to Super Smash Bros.
