Forums - Microsoft Discussion - New Xbox One boss pledges to support core gamers

Cuz nothing says core gaming like mandatory kinects.

Drop the kinect, give it to me for 399$ and show me more games. That's how you support the core gamer.

Pledging is such a nice thing to do.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

He seems like a great guy, happy for him!

I think he will be a good leader for Xbox.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

This E3 is going to be fantastic.

Agree, MS E3 last year was awesome though, so unless we see something huge it'll be tough to top for me personally. E3 2008 was my favorite though.

The very fact that he has to say this says something already.

Why now? Their fanbase was supportive of the original vision, which collided with this one. Are they going to support this blindly or what?

Wouldn't it be great if we lived in a world where this wouldn't even be news because nobody could imagine otherwise?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

To win back some of the core gamers, obviously.

Their fanbase was supportive of the original vision, which collided with this one.

A lot of people in their fanbase definitely was not supportive of the original vision.

Are they going to support this blindly or what?

See above and even if they are the same people, can you support both visions without doing so "blindly"?

I think so.

Yeah, let's hope this promise turns into games. At any rate, I'm sure this E3 will be a good'un.
