No one wants nintendo hardware.  Look at sales it is true.

*Looks at 3DS's 43 million and growing install base*

Also, why would Nintendo games on non-Nintendo systems be any kind of "renaissance" or "golden age"? Because they'd be a little shinier?

Yes 3ds sold great, but Nin had to cut its forcast considerably recently did they not ?

Casue they be selling to gamers that love games but refuse to buy nintendo consoles which is a hell of a lot of people.  No way in hell does Metroid sale so poorly on PS3/360.  Ninty quality plus x/ps power and online would eaily be far better then what they can do on wiiU that is unarguable.  Their back catalogue could flood Live and PSn on PS3/4 and 360/1, the user base they can sale to woudl be dozens of times bigger.  Releasing on PS4/X1/PC/Steam, the sales potential is massivly greater then they will ever have on their own console.

It's very arguable; they could get too caught up in graphics/online to the detriment of gameplay, or they could compromise their games to try to appeal to the Sony/MS fanclubs. More power doesn't mean games will be better.

His comment is pretty silly, but it does hold a certain truth. If the current handheld market decline continues, along with their mediocre track record of home consoles sales (excluding the Wii they haven't had a proper run away hit since the SNES, relative to the market size), they won't have much to sing about. Unless Nintendo can think up something good of course, which is always a possibility.

If you are saying they maybe be incompetant at making those games on better hardware its hard to argue that.

Unliek most id say they are good enough and know where to draw the line at getting hard for power and graphics that their gameplay would not suffer one bit.  While given the superiority of the hardware the game would be bigger better and of course more shinier less jaggier and plain old overall better.  And  would sale on a much bigger user base.

Again, more power does not mean the games will be better. Gamecube was much more powerful than the N64, yet Nintendo's GC games were inferior to their N64 games.

Except for Smash Bros

I was speaking in general. Personally, I consider all the Smash games rubbish, but that's just me.

Sounds more like a self lie to back your opinion, nothing more.  It opens up the possability for more, a choice to use this or that to make the game.  But hey if you think a potential Zelda Starfox Metroid would be better on U then PS4 then so be it.  We are not comapring two different gen systems here, U is same gen as PS4 right.

I do think they would be better on Wii U. More interesting controller for a start. No multiplat hassle. Plus no longer making games for their own system could negatively affect the dev's morale and passion.

Not only negatives; I did mention the graphics would be shinier. I just prioritise gameplay over graphics.
