If you are saying they maybe be incompetant at making those games on better hardware its hard to argue that.

Unliek most id say they are good enough and know where to draw the line at getting hard for power and graphics that their gameplay would not suffer one bit.  While given the superiority of the hardware the game would be bigger better and of course more shinier less jaggier and plain old overall better.  And  would sale on a much bigger user base.

Again, more power does not mean the games will be better. Gamecube was much more powerful than the N64, yet Nintendo's GC games were inferior to their N64 games.
