I use an iPhone 4s, and galaxy tab3, the ads do cause occasional issues, but I exclusively frequent this site via mobile. Never have a problem x'ing out the ads. The one that bothers me most is the one that sends me from the website straight to the App Store... Annoying as hell. For me, I'd say 10% of the time it's smooth saling.

My virus protection brought up there being a virus when going to vgchartz.com when I wasn't using adblock, and nothing when I used adblock. I'd like to support the site in making a profit, but when the ads are virus ridden I'm not going to. I'd donate a few dollars or so to make up for it.

This Titanfall ad finally will make me finally get adblock. I don't mind ads as they fund websites but this is way too intrusive. If I can limit it to just VGC (and other sites that use it) I will but I will have to have adblock on for a few months until it clears. Full screen ad popping up when first enter is bad enough but every time you go to a  new page is out of order.

There was one a while ago which was just malware ridden shite, was this about a month ago when it happened? or more recently?

Yeah you can put adblock to only block ads on certain sites, by default I have it on for all and disable it on sites that I like to give some ad revenue for or where the ads are not remotely intrusive.

You can also customize adblock to pinpoint certain ads.  So you could just block the Titanfall ad but still have some other ads appear on VGC so ioi can make money.

Aye it has a ton of options if you want to keep your browsing annoyance free (from ads anyway) I even have mine set up to blanket block embedded youtube videos on any site that isn't youtube.com/* that way if sites use youtube embedding to play annoying music while you browse it will auto block that annoying shit.

I often use my PC connected to my surround sound setup which ends at some 250watt speakers.... I can't randomly have  stupid popup making a ton of noise and risking damaging my ears / setup.

Yeah this made me get adblock... i dont mind sites putting add's in their pages, and sometimes i will click on them, but when they just keep appearing over stuff and even when you close it another opens up straight after, it makes using the site an absolute nightmare... so now the site is running much better with adblock.
