EDGE - 4/10

• Unresponsive controls
• Poor level design
• Anachronistic checkpointing
• Lack of anything 'new'
• Very poor use of 3D
• 'Horrid' music

Finaly someone pointed out that there is lack of anything new.

But there is much new

New ugly graphics, new terrible music, new crappy level design, new game aimed at kids that really should have been a nostalgia trip for all of the older crowd that played the original like they did with Zelda, that still could have been a great game for the new fans too =P

Yeah well, I show some gameplay to my friend, he asked "why this dino pooped eggs".
In fact, I'm now kinda disgusted by this feature :/

The game looks absolutely terrible.

As soon as I knew this was being deleveloped by Arzest instead of Nintendo themselves I lost all interest, looks like I was right to do so.

Nintendo need to stop outsourcing or at least do it better like with Camelot for Mario Golf.

They shouldn't let important games get mistreated like this, it will damage the reputation of the games.

Just look at what happened to Star Fox, there's been 3 middling to poor games in the series since Nintendo last touched it themselves, now no one cares about it and we'll probably never see another one.

Should've done this on WiiU anyway.
Speaking of which, where the hell is my Yarn Yoshi?

The art-style alone robbes 25% of the games possible MAX score.
So it cannot get better than 7.5/10 even if the rest would be perfect.


Btw  exactly this is how I  feel about 90% of all the studios that are NOT Nintendo.  They just dont know how to make games. Even if they get a 9 out of 10 (because their publishers bought good review scores etc) all the games just lack polish and soul and feel rushed.
(my latest 2 games are Diablo3 and GTA5 and there is just so much wrong with those 2 games....)

I completely felt that LuigisMansion 2 was NOT a Nintendo game. It was an okayish game  but LM1 was FAR better.

Ouch. Don't Nintendo know that they are hurting themselves with such bad games? smh

They hope they get more mainstreamers that dont care about quality and value.   Lets see if they will ever make a NEW Metroid series  because so far New SMB and Yoshi  both are the worst entries within their Mario/Yoshi IPs.

If New Metroid will be shit then we will know for sure that NEW will be their  "mainstreamer games".
