Forums - Gaming Discussion - Should WB be sued?

This game was always "off" to me. Didnt like it was a prequel and i didnt like it was not being made by Rocksteady, glad i skipped it.

I've said it before, but I think that WB is easily becoming one of my least favorite developers.

Their ports are shoddy. If you take compare the 360 version of Arkham Origins to both the PS3 and Wii U versions, it's laughable how bad it is. The 360 version has the bugs the other versions have, but the PS3 and Wii U versions have framerate issues.

Vita gets screwed by them. Every game that is also on the 3DS, the Vita version is a higher resolution version of the 3DS game.

Arkham City purchased new includes a voucher for several hours of single player content. This is much worse than an online pass because the content should be included on disc, not locked behind some paywall for those who didn't purchase it new. Arkham City Game of the Year Edition which has the content on disc is a joke.

Injustice Gods Among Us, and while I've only heard this, the season pass includes three costumes and four characters, but doesn't include any of the other DLC costumes or any of the color variations.

They're just a greedy publisher who doesn't belong in the video game business in my opinion.

Eh, support is support for a console like Vita (or Wii U for that matter). That's all the Nintendo fans are really asking for: a slightly more polished version of the PS360 game with all of the features intact. I wouldn't knock the games for being there with "just" upgraded textures.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I enjoyed Asylum and City, but I'll wait on Origins given these issues.

Sure, if you want $15.75, eighteen months from now after the lawyers have taken their due in the class action lawsuit. It would be better if you smarten up and stop buying crap on day one. Will save you more in the long run.

I just hated the whole game in general. It seems like they took a lot of steps back

Playable Characters:

Asylum-2: Batman and Joker (on PS3)

City- 4: Batman, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing

Origins- 2: Batman and Deathstroke (EXACT SAME moveset as Robin, just lazily reskinned as Deathstroke)

-No new interesting gadgets or combat mechanics, except for a throwaway zip line thing & a stupid counter-ninja mechanic that doesn't work half the time

-Combat is worse than before. In asylum and city, you could strike multiple opponents from across different parts of the room with a nice flow. In Origins, if the enemy is too far, Batman will just punch the air & break the combo

-Sometimes when Im done beating up a group of thugs in the city, Batman will stay in the combat position because the game decided to make other thugs from 40 ft. away join the fight while I wait & my combo goes away

-Lazily copy-pasted half of the city, with the new part horribly designed with tall and long buildings that make it frustrating or impossible to grapple. Putting a looong bridge in-between the islands is just horiible design

-Continuity errors. In City, you could see that the prison was in an isolated island that was a couple of hundred feet from the the rest of Gotham with no other islands in sight besides main Gotham. In Origins, the new island appears out of nowhere south of Arkham City, despite there being no evidence of an island there in Arkham City

-No civilians, vehicles, or any sign of life in the city, it's suppose to be Gotham, not Arkham. The "civilians were ordered to stay indoors due to the blizzard" is just a lazy excuse, Spider-Man games have had civilans and vehicles in an open world for years now and you guys couldn't? If you can't then don't try to tell us it's Gotham. They could've used civilians as a new mechanic where you have to save people from getting robbed or mugged, increasing your reputation (since Batman is still a myth and sought after by the police)

-Killer Croc, Deadshot, Electrocutioner, and Shiva were horribly done. I get that Electrocutioner was suppose to be a joke, but they should'nt have told us that he was one of the main assassins, get us hyped up, then disappointed when Batman beats him with one punch. They should have not put him as one of the main assassins and not mentioned that he was in the game so we get surprised when we play it ourselves. You remember those fights with the titan thugs in asylum that were incredibly easy and nobody liked? Let's make one of those the Killer Croc boss fights.  The Deadshot fight was just a predator map with punching at the end

Sorry, I know this isn't a review or rant thread, but I just had to get it out of my chest

It's simple for fuck sake: vote with your wallet.

Don't by Arkham Origin and don't by the DLC? HOW HARD is it to understand that it's the best and only way to fight corporate greed and abuse?

I'm not for a class action law suit, but there are some grounds for it. You can't say something like that. Now I know what company NOT to buy from though, and hopefully others follow.

How are people going to know WB are assholes if we don't talk about it?

Exactly...

$15.75? You mean per customer? You're not being realistic.

This is really weird. Because WB recently went on record to fix the screwed up on Family Matters Season 4 DVD set. (They used syndicated prints by mistake). Yet they go and outright say they won't fix game breaking bugs. Seriously. bugs that end games should be patched FIRST over all other things. Including making money off DLC.
