Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have you ever Sold a Gaming System and then Regretted it?

I am just wondering have you ever Sold a System and then regretted it, examples would be like my cousin bought a PS3 at launch at $600 and then sold it a year later (cuz it had no games DURR) and then by the next year in 08 he regretted it (his 360 and PS2 broke so that might have factored into it also).
So for me I sold my Wii and old DS (but got a new light one so no biggie) and did not regret that, But way back When I sold my Dreamcast (young and dumb I know) because I wanted money for games for the PS2, and not even a week later I regretted it. I missed some Cool moments with some friends.
Anyways let me know if you guys have sold back systems and then Regretted the descision, or not for that matter.

I regret selling every system I ever had.

Hmm... well I sold my Wii after a few months of having it because it was pretty shitty and all we had was Wii Sports and some other games that faggots enjoy...

... And then good games started coming out for it! I still really want to play the Super Mario Galaxy games, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, lots of others too... but yeah.

I'll be buying a Wii U eventually anyway (When Nintendo crash and burn and they're selling them on street corners for a fiver, lol), they're backwards compatible, right?

?????

Wii Buttsecks is real?

Never sold a system i prevriously bought. No point to buy if you're gonna sell, and I'm not at all impulsive.

Sold my psp in like 2008 then a year later wanted one again so brought another one then sold it again last year lol BUT my sister gave me her one over new years hahaha so I've actually sold 2 psps and still have one :P

No i play all games that interested me in my psp and i sell it to get a vita even if i want to replay some psp game i could get them on my vita.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Well somebody told me Wii Sports works better if you put the wiimote up your arse, so yeah, I suppose Wii Butsecks IS real! ...I liked to turn vibrate on ;)

I shudder at the possibility of ever meeting that person...

When I was a kid I had this weird thing where I thought I was only allowed to have one system at a time. I don't know where the idea came from, but it really persisted. I sold my Genesis when I got a SNES, though I didn't regret that. But then I sold my N64 when I got a PS1, which was really dumb, and I ended up buying another one down the line. And then I sold my PS2 before getting a Gamecube, and also had to buy that again later! I was a really dumb kid...

But people who sell their young systems because there aren't any games baffle and infuriate me. Like, they can't be bothered to look at the projected release schedule of a system before getting it, and then they can't scrape together enough brains to realize that the system would have games eventually. I always think, do you seriously have enough money to throw around that you can buy a system without thinking about it and just as easily chuck it when it stops entertaining you for too long a period? People should know what they're getting into when they buy at launch by now. Sheesh.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

My yellow gameboy color, first console I had.

I hate myself

More or less... I sold my 3DS in november, in january they announced Pokemon X Y, and i got very jealous of 3DS owners!

Sold my PS2... what the fuck was I thinking. Got another one now and buying all my old faves.
