I don't see PS4 selling over 600k for the Japanese launch in February since Europe sold 700k during the holidays.
Edit: Talking about launch weeks.

I say 2.5 million. I would love to see such a large margin but a 100k+ gap between the two consoles seems unlikely to me.

Well even without japan the gap will be close to 2m so I think that is a sure bet. 2.5m would be great but 3m sounds like a stretch.

I don't see the gap between the two being larger than 2.5 million until later this year. |
Ah yes, TF = Japan.
Bet with Adamblaziken:
I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
PS4 is most wanted console in Japan at the moment.
PS4 games are the most wanted, above PS3 and 3DS games ( http://www.gamekyo.com/newsfr56098_most-wanted-famitsu-21-01-2014.html ) and yet, you think it's not going to be as big as some are expecting ? yeah, if some are expecting 2M in one month in Japon, obviously, but in this situation, it's absolutely not insane to think it could reach PS2 level of sales at japan launch ( 1M in 2 weeks )
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m

Xbox 360 sold roughly 10 times the number of inhabitants in your country in Japan. Yes, it's not PS or Nintendo numbers, but it's still much more than they sell in most countries. If they drop Japan, why not drop Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, most of Africa so on and so forth?
You're not going to tell me that Xbox One, and PS4 for that matter, is going to be sold to 1/5 of the population in my country are you? Maybe they should drop the PS4 over here.
I'll go with 2.5.
Lot of unknowns. How big will PS4 launch in Japan? How will Titanfall affect XB1 sales?
It will depend on supply, if enough is available 3M is certain (even if ethomaz need to buy all of them and resell cheaper in Brazil just to make his prediction happen)
