Wii U has a fuck ton of exclusive games. They're mostly shovelware, though.

https://miiverse.nintendo.net/communities/categories/wiiu_all

Some good ones like Sonic, Zombi U, Lego City, Scribble Nauts (two of 'em!) and a couple of others exist. About as compelling as the other third party list, wouldn't you say? Hell, I personally think these games are of higher quality than those game in their day. Neither list had what I'd call a system seller, though.

I already know them

You can each systems library in order from the date they came out on Gamefy.com from bottom to the top

here is the Wii's full Library

Yeah, I think the op is completely off on this one. The Wii U is trying yet again to provide different ways to play a game. That's Nintendo's thing. If you take that away then what would be the draw for people too the Wii U? It would still have the stigma of being a "kiddie" console, so it still wouldn't draw PSand Xbox fans to it, but it would also remove those people interested in buying the Wii U out of curiosity of the gamepad. You would also remove off tv play which is a LOT of peoples (including myself) draw to the console. Granted Iove Nintendo's first party, but it's still an advantage over the other systems.

As far as I see it, I just think the Wii U needs those new titles that the Wii had but make them exclusive. Like say a good Crystal Bearers game, a new No More Heroes, Mad World, Last Story 2, Pandoras Tower 2, it's getting Bayonetta 2, just some continuations of games or first time games that are known and loved, but in HD and give it the online support the original Wii never could.

The bottom line is there is a pro controller available, do you really think that $50 difference will sway the truely interested in the console? I do not.

The Wii U is trying yet again to provide different ways to play a game. That's Nintendo's thing

This is exactly what i think fucked Nintendo up. They had already found their market. They hit the jackpot with the Wii. They were able to exist and be very relevant without the main 3rd party games that could be found on the PS3 and 360. Even Sony wanted a small piece of that market. That's why Sony decided that the Move would be a good idea even though they didn't support it all that much

They found their own market and then abandoned it so they could bring something new? That whole "Lets do something new" shit is what got Nintendo in this very situation. The 3DS kept its same way of playing. They only added 3D which is basically like sprinkles on an already baked cake.

It would still have the stigma of being a "kiddie" console, so it still wouldn't draw PSand Xbox fans to the Wii U

That "kiddie" console stigma didn't hurt the Wii when it came out. The Wii and its whole ecosystem(well.. a good portion of it) was BOOMING!

there were plenty PS and Xbox guys who bought a Wii.

You have to remember that everything doesn't appeal to the same people. everybody is not going to like the Wii regardless of how well it's doing. I could live with a couple of people who don't like the Wii. Aslong as it's thriving then i'm good.

but it would also remove those people interested in buying the Wii U out of curiosity of the gamepad. You would also remove off tv play which is a LOT of peoples (including myself) draw to the console

That's why they would make it available as a peripheral. Wii Fit did WONDERFULLY as a peripheral

The bottom line is there is a pro controller available, do you really think that $50 difference will sway the truely interested in the console? I do not.

The pro controller is nice but it is not what brought excitement to the Nintendo. I think a $250 price with a Wii Mote will sell better than a $250 Wii U with the Gamepad. It would also allow Nintendo to profit quicker because i'm sure the the Wii Mote costs a lot less to make than the Gamepad

I would like to see those games aswell but these games need a platform where they can thrive. The Wii was booming and allowed for a lot of games to thrive while others helped Wii boom more as they thrived

Personally, I loved the Wii. It had its place on my entertainment center next to the 360 and PS3. The problem is, for many of the people I've met, they got tired of the Wii waaaaay before the gen ended. I was talking to a guy at work about the new consoles and the Wii U. He said, "Yeah, my (I don't remember which relative) got one of those Wii's. We probably played with that thing for a day."

It was a very popular system but a lot of people that bought it felt burned. They were kinda tricked into it. Pretty much every girl I dated this year had a Wii and some exercise games gathering dust on the shelves. One of my co-workers bought a Wii for his fat kids because "It's better than just sitting there with a controller in their hands" and his kids are still fat. The Wii was the greatest trick the devil ever pulled. I'm serious. Yeah, it had great games and a lot of those games were the most successful of the entire gen. Still doesn't change the fact that people got screwed. I can admit this. It was time to pay the devil his due.

So, like the DS, the Wii name was mega popular. Unlike the DS, the Wii failed to deliver for a lot of people. So, was Nintendo supposed to distance itself from the Wii name--their best selling home console, ever? Nope. Like the 3DS continued the DS name and dropped the "Gameboy", the Wii U tried to build off of the Wii name. The Wii name is kinda shit right now.

Same goes for Xbox One and Kinect. Kinect was the fastest selling electronic item ever or some shit like that. I loved Kinect. I still play it. A lot of people got burned with Microsoft's promises for Kinect 1.0. They aren't especially excited about a Kinect 2.0, even if it does deliver this time. The sins of the father are payed for by the child.

because wii u is not $350 and ps4k/xone aren't "superior consoles", duh.

Lack of real games to be hyped.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Tis true. The gamepad is what is holding the Wii U. Nintendo dumbed down the Wii U so they could expand the gaming market since they had no shot at the established market, so they created their own. Problem is those people dont stick around. The tablet controller is too sophisticated for a non-gamer audience. They want simple gaming where you dont need to think just play and then throw away.

I had a revelation. Why did the 3DS get such a mature campaign and the Wii U has a bunch of kids talking about hot buttered popcorn? It's like the Wii U just lost its balls.

Oh dude i love your posts. Attaboy lives along with d21.

OT: Yea, i don't have much to contribute to this thread. We've been over this quite a bit already. That Wii commercial from back in days was epic. They had every demographic covered. You just couldn't say no to it.
