i find it quite hypocritical of people to downplay the differences in multiplats. Last gen we had fans and reviewers, point out superior xbox multiplats, and in many cases give them higher scores. touting is superior graphics and performance. Well that was usally 5-15% resolution advantage in favor of xbox 360.

Now this gen. we have an incredible 50-110% resolution advantage, and we have fans and worst of all reviewers, downplaying the differences, saying you wont notice it. and definitely not giving higher scores to PS4 version, like they did with xbox 360.

Now Im not calling Kowen a hypocrit because I dont know if he ever touted the 360's slight multiplat advantage, and im not about to start going through his post history to find out. but if he did, and for all the others that did, including reviewers, they are all hypicrits. 

the advantage is much bigger this gen than it was last gen, but now its downplayed.

Well, the fact that Kowen felt the need to correct him (and no, Kowen, it had nothing to do with his English), showed that it annoyed him enough that someone actually suggested there was little, to no difference.  So, it does make him a hypocrite to be belittling the differences between the PS4 and One, when they are larger than that of the 360 and PS3.  And if there is no forced parity, the gap will get relatively larger.

I do agree, however, that the most ridiculous part is actual reviewers and gaming "journalists" can say with a straight face that it makes no difference.  Or that you can't tell the difference.  When they made sure to point it out when the 360 was on top.

I dont feel like reading the whole thing but can you paste the part that says how much better the PS4 version looks over the Xbox One version?

WTF?? KZ is the best looking game technically at launch.. PS4 is more powerfull. Infamous and uncharted will be graphics kings next year. How will the wweaker suystem have better looking exclusives, the exclusives will look even better on PS4 then the multiplats do. What you posted is simply not true.


Meh KZ look best is because the game look colourful. Even the original crysis or crysis 3 look better than KZ. Don't judge the Xbox One when you haven't see Quantum Break or Ryse graphics. There isn't any gameplay footage of uncharted on PS4 so i won't judge it too quickly claiming it would have the best graphics for next gen consoles. Let not forget the graphics in Uncharted 3 has been dumbed down in comparision to Uncharted 2 which mean i won't have my high hopes on Uncharted looking a lot better than other next gen exclusive games.

Lol what? You don't have aiming issues because the resolution is lower. Where at a point where 720p and higher is gonna give you good gamplay so long as the developer does what they need to do.  Telling someone their gonna have issues aiming in 720p is complete nonsense.

How is it nonsense? It's a fact that you will have a harder time sniping things in a distance when playing at 720p vs. 900 or 1080p. That's a fact, not something that can even be debated. People did have issues sniping things in the distance last gen in games like BF3.

Sniping in in a higher resolution than 720p is a benefit I never said that it wasn't, but sniping on xbox one in 720 p does not add aiming issues.

Compared with PS4? It does.

These things are part of the gameplay so if you have lower resolution then you have to work harder to aim at long distance... that's make the gameplay worst than the other that you have higher resolution.

In case of BF4 you have even framerate issues bigger on Xbone... almost 10fps difference between the minimum.

I seriously don't understand this sniping discussion. When you aim down the sight, the graphics adjust, right? Why else would I be able to even snipe individual body parts in MDK on Dreamcast? Ooooh, the resolution was 1080p, I see now...

Well, I suppose "issues" is the wrong wording, but there is a disadvantage for sure. That is what ethomaz means. Thankfully, the same goes for everyone else you're playing against so it's effectively a non-issue for competitive play, but can be slightly annoying.

Okay that makes sense, I get ya a bit better now.
