Lol, they aren't making that many in 2-3 weeks. EU (and the countries in Others) must have gotten there supply around the NA launch. Those 1M-2M consoles have already been made and shipped. The only question is whether they have another 1M+ for NA. And hearing that retailers are secretly keeping their last shipments of PS4s for Black Friday makes me think they may just have that many.

This is definitely possible. I will be ~1.5M-2M. Depends on how many NA retailers got in their last shipment.
Also, you own the PS4 and you think the UI is sluggish? What have you been comparing it too, a super computer? I had my friends console all of last weekend and I was blown away by how fast the UI is. And the store is even quicker since it's part of the UI, now. Not sure if I can take you seriously, now.
