Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Forza 5 Launch Trailer. Oh My God.

one thing I hate about Forza games that is still showing here is the lighting, why is everything so yellow? , it makes the game less impressive and more instagramish looking , its the same as Forza 4 and Forza Horizon was the worst for that.

Are you serious Horizon had a great day and night cycle the only minor complain is that there is always a full moon at night and they could strech the cycle out a bit more for the second game other then that its one of the best cycles this gen for a console game right up there with Red Dead Revolver.

Somebody please explain "cloud powered opponents".

Players will essentially have an AI that emulates how they race. The more they play, that AI is constantly updated to emulate their play style.

So lets say you want to play a friend but he's offline. Well you have the option to play his AI.

Oh. So how does the kool-aid taste?

Ask yourself.

The cloud isn't going to upgrade graphics anytime soon, but drivatars works perfectly.

Really tempted to report that post, just fyi.

Go ahead?

"Cloud powered oponents" is a PR term used to convince people of all this "next gen" technology, when really, it isn't. Games have been able to do this for a while. Maybe you should do some research before you blindly accept what is really defined as next gen, and then threaten to report somebody who actually knows what they are talking about.

I dont like being Halo 4'd

Where only some parts of the games look good and anywhere near close to the promotional material.

Which was a constant in this gen. Hell a friend of mine only plays on handhelds and he was under the impression that we already had "this gen " graphics last gen so he's not impressed with any of this new stuff whatsoever lol.

Any more off topic crap from you or are you done? Two irrelevent posts in a row.

Now this guy had his cheerios pissed on!

Also, Drivatar... Quite possibly the best name for anything ever made.

OT: The graphics sure are nice. I just wish this and GT were a little more lively in the gameplay aspect.

That is what arcade racers are for and if you don't like those play kart racers.

Still, GT and Forza are about as fun as driving a car to work. Pretty damn vanilla.

What makes you think its a PR term? Yeah MS have gotten a lot of stuff wrong this year...but i dont see a reason why they would lie about drivatars.

Basically they are storing lots of data on the way your friends drive...crunching all the numbers in the cloud and coming up with dynamic AI drivatars that mimic the way your friends drive. Its a great innovative concept that is probably made more achievable because of the cloud.

Yes cloud has been around for a long time...but this gen MS are actually giving devs the resources to use it in a way thats more meaningful than simply multiplayer.
