Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Ryse Son Of Rome. Best graphics of all next gen titles from a technical standpoint says IGN.

The graphics are lush as for the gameplay being repetitive arent alot of games like that in fps game you just shoot people . fighting games etc .even one of my fave games The last of us got sort of repetitive but the great story telling took it to the next level .Hopefully ryse will have a good story if not its worth it to me.

Did Lair teach us nothing about technically impressive launch titles? Has Crytek not shown themselves as makers of polished nonsense?

Hey now, take that back! The original Crysis is still a gem!

I'm sorry, I hated Crysis with a passion!

The original Far Cry was amazing though!

Original Crysis is a masterpiece! :O

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

When I heard that comment I immediately knew someone was going to make a thread about it and completely rip it out of context and here we are.

It's not IGN saying this, it's one guy from IGN saying that this is the most impressive game he's seen from a technical standpoint. When he says that I can only shake my head, I mean that guy has played a couple levels of the game in a very controlled environment, so how exactly did he come to the conclusion that this is the most impressive game from a technical standpoint?Did he count the pixels? Did he count the effects going on? Did he count the number of NPCs and their movements? Or maybe, just maybe a Crytek developer told him what they are doing with the game from a technical standpoint and he, probably not knowing very much about the technical aspects of graphics, just went with what the developer told him, since the game is undoubtetly, and I'm not downplaying that, very pretty, and proclaimed the game the technical graphics king.

Seriously, the game looks good, very good, but saying it's technically the best looking, because that one guy said it, is ignorant, especially when every member of this forum can easily give you two technical areas where it's beaten by other next gen games, resolution and framerate.

Also I feel the game looks from what I've seen, like a poor mans GOW at best, you basically take out the riddles, the mythological creatures and the epic boss battles and instead put in human enemies and you have Ryse.

Just looked at a gameplay video: http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/11/06/ryse-son-of-romes-redemption

My god the gameplay looks so awesome! Coupled with the graphics this can be a launch favourite :).

Waiting for Cboat approval.

This is a fact. Well... it got a little lame during the alien scenes.

But Crysis Warhead was pretty awesome all they way through.

And good old Selnor is back

Looks incredible. If the co-op turns out any good, I might jump into next gen earlier than Titanfall.

And I can't wait to see what they do with the sequel since it won't begin as a Kinect 360 title.

"personal motivation key to combat" yes this is what I want to hear. No different than God of War, Conan, many other games like this. Can be as easy as you want or difficult.

The original Crysis felt like glorified tech demo with a slapped on storyline.

Everyone has an opinion. I just don't agree with yours.

Yh the game looks nice but it just did not impress me as much as when I first seen Killzone. When the helicopter is flying at the beginning of the demo i thought, "greatness is Here" never mind awaits.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st
