So ur expecting Wii U to sell a maximum of 1.5m over the next 6 months which includes the holidays, a price cut and some of Nintendos best selling franchises? Seems very unlikey considering its done close to a million in the past 6 months with a huge drought and non holidays.

I think both PS4 and One will pass it eventually but it sure as hell wont be this fiscal year

hmm, Sony says PS4 will sell 5m by FY2013's end, WiiU should be atleast 6-7m by then, and Mario Kart 8 is coming out in April i think, which should boost sales by a considerably huge amount, so yeah, i think it will take a while, if ever.

Yeah whoever thinks that the PS4/XboxOne will never outsell the wii-u is seriously deluded. There is no doubt from current/past evidence that the Wii-u will be outsold, its just a case of 1 or 3 years max.

Well I believe both consoles will surpass the Wii U in the first few months all three will probably switch leads during their life times. There will be a big initial adopter period follow by the customary first year lull which while I don't think it will be as bad as the Wii U, it will allow the Wii U to keep up.

I basing my assumption off the many articles on major gaming sites about how it may be a good idea to wait to buy the new consoles, until the libraries mature, which is a new trend after the slow pick up of the recent consoles, with the exception of the Wii. I don't put much stock in "preorder" announcements especially from gamestop, never did, it just show the intent to purchase.

ps4 soon, X1... aha we shall see if it does at all.

I'm leaning towards within the first year of sales for both the XB1 and the PS4.

I don't have any emotional stake in any company and in full disclosure, the only one I own shares of is Nintendo (which has been the bottom bitch in my portfolio since I added it years ago).

If I wanted to make an informed guess, I'd simply take a look at the production numbers for all three consoles from the XB1 and PS4 launches through 2014 with the only potential wild card being that Nintendo consoles have traditionally been seasonal (holiday) sellers for children and have historically demonstrated Q4 heavy sales. That bump will dissolve rapidly by February, if it happens in 2013 in any significant way at all.
