Well I believe both consoles will surpass the Wii U in the first few months all three will probably switch leads during their life times. There will be a big initial adopter period follow by the customary first year lull which while I don't think it will be as bad as the Wii U, it will allow the Wii U to keep up.
I basing my assumption off the many articles on major gaming sites about how it may be a good idea to wait to buy the new consoles, until the libraries mature, which is a new trend after the slow pick up of the recent consoles, with the exception of the Wii. I don't put much stock in "preorder" announcements especially from gamestop, never did, it just show the intent to purchase.
