No, I don't at all ^^ My point is that the 3DS is going to age pretty quickly (It's sales are already slowing). As I said, this assumption is based on the Vita managing to get a stable game library, which it currently doesn’t have. If it does that, coupled with its tech being advanced enough to keep it relevant for a very long time, it has the potential to outlive the 3Ds by a fair few years.

You aren’t serious about your second statement are you? I refuse to believe someone could say that with a straight face :P here is some footage of Killzone: Mercenary - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS8ytlSkVw0
I would love for you to find me any game that looks even 1/2 as good. We can even ignore how Killzone is in 720p, just find me one that looks that good when played at the same resolution :P

I should note that I don't own a Vita, but do own a 3DS (two actually, upgraded to the XL). I have no bias in handheld arguments, am just pointing out how absurd your second point was.

As a Vita owner, I know the Vita has an ultra sharp screen but I don't think I've seen anywhere that the Vita can run ANYTHING at 720p.  I don't think the screen is capable.  I could be wrong, though.

No, you are right. I said it in reference to youtube videos having an up scaled resolution for gameplay of both platforms. I believe the actual resolution of the Vita is 544p (2.7 times higher than the 3DS's top screen, which is the one that will have the actual game running on it). While the Vita is not technically HD, it's high DPI and OLED screen pretty much make it look like it is.

On that, we totally agree!

This kind of threads go always the same way, someone isn´t happy with what Sony is doing with the PSV, which causes a really funny reaction of love confessions by fans, which per se is really creepy in my opinion, I never confessed love for any electronic device so it´s something rather crazy in my opinion, but of course that´s not enough, in the same sentence they have to say how lackluster 3DSs lineup actually is...

Since I actually earn my own money and am more of a videogame fan since the Atari2600 days rather than a fanboy I actually supported and bought most gaming systems besides some exotic consoles like 3DO. Unlike some sonyfans who really have developed hatred towards Nintendp because Sony failed miserably with PSV.

Also your list is really silly, the most ridiculous one beeing Monster Hunter 4 which will be released in a few days and isn´t by any means a port.

So please have fun with old ports of indy games for all I care. As a PSV owner I expected more a lineup akin to the PSP than old Android/ios games and am really disappointed by Sonys focus on cheap cash-in ports of smartphone indy games and the closure of 3 Sony studios that worked on PSV games beeing closed early this year, like Studio Liverpool and Zipper Interactive.

So I'll start this reply in a same way as you did yours... So here's my take...

This type of threads always ends up with someone professing that he's been a gamer for xx years, since he played *insert old console here*, because for some reason that should what impress us? Give you more legitimacy as a gamer? That person usually always ends up pointing that he earns his own money... Because what, the rest of us beggs on street corners? Exchanges food stamps for video games?

My list is actually spot on. With exception that I made error which I corrected regarding the MH4. I admit I was misinformed. But back on the list, from my perspective 3DS doesn't offer anything new, that I already in some capacity haven't played on my 20 years old gameboy, which I btw from time to time still do play (My favorite handheld game is actually Wario Land - so much about my SONY fanboy-ism).

Lineup akin to PSP...? So which killer apps were released on PSP in 1st year (2004/2005). Lemme see... Crisis Core? Nope 2007, Dissidia? Nope 2008, Daxter? Nope 2006, J. D'Arc Nope 2006, Kingdom Hearts BBS? Nope 2010, KZ: Liberation Nope 2006, Resistance Retribution? Nope 2009, Gran Turismo? Nope 2009, God of War games Nope 2008 and 2010... But for some reason Vita should have all major IP's out in a first year?

For Bigbig studio I say good riddance, but they were under performing since the PSP days. And about Zipper and Studio Liverpool... You really think that PSV games were the reason for closure? Not the SOCOM 4, MAG... that bommed hard... Liverpool wasn't as much closed as integrated into XDev (since the most staff was allocated there),

You really have missed the point, I didn´t say they were closed because they worked on PSV games (that´s a very likely reason since all those games flopped starting from Wipeout2047 to Unit13 but that wasn´t my point my point was that due to the closure those studios logically they can´t work on new PSv titles which automatically leads to less PSV support even from Sony themselves). This year they closed 3 studios that worked on PSV games that still could have worked on new PSV games if Sony actually gave a damn about PSV, that´s the disappointing part of the closure of these studios with experience on the system as a PSV owner.

And surprise no new 1st party announcement at E3 and GC, instead concentration on ports of old smartphone indy games and a publishing deal with a 3rd party developer for a Nintendogs clone called Playstationpets. This is exactly what the majority of PSV launch buyers bought the system for. Yeah, sorry I can´t take such apologists seriously anymore.

No. The Game Gear was awesome. The Vita is terrible.

hopefully vita gets some legs, but it needs more exclusives besides just console ports

i think it's more of a lynx 2 or something. great specs, bad price, no games. and the competitor, low specs, great price, lots of games.

lol, i love how everyone says this. The Vita has so many great games, possibly better than the 3DS line up. The problem is Vita's games arent big franchise system sellers. 3DS has Mario, Zelda, Pokemon and MonHun

LOL, yeah right.

i know the Vita has a FEW good games, but the 3DS has a LOT.

In your opinion.

no. fact :P

please name the good Vita games that aren't ports :P

Personally I'm looking forwards to Killzone Merceny, Ys: Memory of Celceta and Tearaway for the rest of this year. Not that your criteria matters, I'm fine with having ports in moderation. A strong library is a strong library.

This man loves ports!!!! Its True

i love how you just ignore games like Kid Icarus and call games like MH4 which is a 3DS exclusive a "port" XD

Oh sorry for that, my bad. I thought that MH 4 is a Wii U/ 3DS game.

Games like Kid Icarus? I don't get it.. What is that supposed to mean? Games with broken controls? Re-envisioned NES games?

Woah Woah Woooooah.... Slow down buddy. I dont mind your other opinions (which are good btw), but DONT you dare talk S*** about the best 3DS game on the platform >_

I can't say for what people bought PSV, but I know for what I did. I got it to play games on it when I don't have access to my PS3/PC. And I've been doing that for over a year now. Sure everybody whines that PSV only gets "ports" of homeconsole games... And while I would love to see more original content on Vita, I couldn't be happier for games like Dragon's Crown, Muramasa, P4, BlazBlue, Mortal Kombat, Sly Cooper, PASBR, Rayman Origins... Borderlands 2, FF X, Rayman Legends...
