The developers behind great games such as Contra 4, Double Dragon Neon, Mighty Switch Force and Ducktales Remastered have just launched their kickstarter for the latest entry in the Shantae series; Shantae Half- Genie Hero. This is the first HD title in the series and it is currently slated for Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and Steam. They are currently asking for $400,000 and have announced stretch goals up $800k plus more unknown ones. The game is planned to release in fall 2014

So this is a completely separate game from Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (3DS eShop) then... very cool.

The lack of a mobile version is disappointing.. The risky revenge was ported to iOS so should this new one

I immediately went and pledged $15 to this with possibility of bumping it later. Shantae is a great game series and Wayforward have amazing track record. I really want this to succeed.
