This isnt a grammar nazi thread, nor is it endorsed by the mods or admins here.

In the last few Months, I think the GamrConnect forums here on VGChartz have been slowly but surely sliding downhill. I admit, I am no Saint (though I am 25 Months ban free!™) and this place hasnt always been a haven of great discussion and maturity, but lately things seem to be spiraling out of control.

First things first. I point you towards the forum rules and the yet to be put in the rules page - "New Rules" thread.

Drink them in.

Now thats out of the way, lets get down to business.

Dont act like a dick. Dont stroll into a Bayonetta 2 review thread and tell us that the game should be on other consoles. Dont waltz into an Xbox One thread with intentions of showing us your hard-on for the PlayStation 4. Dont prance into a Vita thread telling us how great Monster Hunter on 3DS is.

Its really that simple, people. Dont act like a cunt and the forums will be a much happier place to be.

• Respect other users. Respect opinions. Treat other users the way you want to be treated.
• Be civil.
• Stay on topic.
• Dont be a negative nelly.
• Dont post in all CAPS, or a MiX Of CaPS anD LoWEr CaSe.
• Dont have a huge, annoying forum signature.
• Get to know people here, before you judge them.
• Dont judge people based on buying habits.
• Dont go into a rage just because someone has the audacity to disagree with you on something.
• Dont go into threads with the sole intention of getting a rise out of people.
• Dont bump old threads without reason.
• Dont make a quote tree. If you have to reply to someone but cant cut the tree, just reply in the thread and aim it at the user in question.
• If you get moderated and you have a problem with said moderation, dont cry about it on the forums... Take it to the head mod.
• Respect the staff. Like them or not, theyre here to help. Even if they do go missing from time to time.
• Dont call someone a dick, even if theyre being a dick. Rise above it. Beat them at their own game. Silence the troll. Report the troll.
• When youre in a sales thread, dont pull numbers out of thin air to defend your stance.
• Dont edit old posts, for the sake of looking "unbiased".

Lastly - If you know your "opinion" wont go down well in a certain thread, keep it to yourself. Yes you can have your opinion, you can post your opinion on the Internet. You have an arsehole too, it doesnt mean you have to present it at any given opportunity. There is a time and a place for it. Keep it for that time and place. Keep it for "The Arsehole Thread".

The people in a "Gay Pride 2013!" thread wont want to hear about how God hates gays. The people in a "PS4 games of 2014!" thread wont want to hear about how much you prefer Nintendo 1st Party IPs. 

And one more time -

I dont care if this gets ignored. I dont care if it gets locked.  This needed to be done. Enough is enough, I have had it.

I want to add one more thing to this thread that's been really bothering me the last few months. Stop complaining about how some people come in a thread with bad intentions. It's exactly the type of rise they want so don't throw them that bone. Ignore them and move on.
