It's not for me, and it's not for you. All you need to do is look on Twitter and FaceBook to see the reaction from parents of young kids, or which this is designed for, love the idea.

???????
Werent You praising it a long time earlier?
Also, uncomfortable to hold? Have you tried one out? YeaaaaaaaaaH....

Indeed it's good for kids (not so much for me).
I know a few kids with DSs and 3DSs. Most of them have broken or loose hinges.
With this design they'll scratch the screens, but at least there are no hinges to break.
I don't think it cost them much to develop and produce, so every unit sold should give them a big plus.
In the end it's only good for Nintendo.
Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

you just were saying earlier that 3DS will definitely sell 20mil, now your saying nobody will buy it? I might of interpreted that wrong, also i have a thread stating who is buying one here...

I have not been interested in Nintendo consoles since the 90s, but
This thing? Lol no.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!
No, but honestly I don't think it's meant to.
Firstly, this thing is clearly designed to be a rugged little handheld for little, hinge removed as a major point weakness for a system that might get left on the floor, kicked, dropped, thrown etc.
Bottom line, this system it's not targeted at people on game forums.
Idk if my 3DS ever breaks and I need a replacement I might get one depending on how it is received.

No I have two 3DS regular models (one of them is the Fire Emblem LE that I bought mostly as a collectible) and an XL already so I think I've pretty much spent my fair share on 3DS hardware this gen. Plus it's hard going back to the smaller screen size after getting used to the XL.
2DS is decent for kids and parents who refuse to spend more than a certain amount on Christmas gifts, I have no problem with it. If releasing a tablet-less Wii U model would cause the userbase to ultimately grow faster, I think Nintendo should consider that option also.
I might pick up a 2DS years down the line if it's on clearance for $99 or less just as a collectible, but that's about it.
i think there is a hidden agenda here.
It is their first experiment into portable/home hybrid. an experiment that if it fails doesnt matter.
