Monster Hunter requires a peripheral attachment, the dual stick pro pad or whatever.

When you say "requires," I'm assuming you mean that you can't play it comfortably with its default controls (touch screen).

yes. If I wanted to play it in an uncomfortable way, I'd just play it on psp

use the touch screen, works fine and no eagle claw.

IHateLife is right. I can back that up.

Fire Emblem is a good choice. My patience paid off and will get Fire Emblem too with the Black 3DS.

3DS XL that is!

Get Kid Icarus Uprising, but be ready to use the stand it comes with as the game is hard on your hands otherwise.

Still worth it though.

You might as well get Shin Megami Tensei 4 and and take advantage of the $30 eShop bonus since you have Fire Emblem already.

With that $30 credit I'd probably get Mario 3D Land. You may be a Sony gamer, but not indulging in a little Mario when you get a chance is like going to the world's best hamburger place and not ordering a burger.

I wasn't trying to say you mentioned Journey.   I was saying you were saying what essentially makes everyone like Journey and said that it makes for, by definition, a bad game.

Of course Journey has more elements in it, but they do not contribute to its high reviews nearly as much since they are pretty much average.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star may not be Journey, but you assume it's a bad game because it sets out to do things differently and you don't like it.  Just because you don't like it doesn't make it a bad game.  In fact, a lot of people enjoyed the game.  It may have the lowest review of the Paper Mario games, but I feel this comes from expectations rather than a review as a stand alone title.  I think that's what makes so many people dislike it.  The main flaw of the game itself is that the sticker system could have been more lenient and made the battles feel more rewarding, but the fact is that the system isn't bad.  It's just not great, it falls short of a standard of greatness.

However, you seem not to realize that there are more elements in Paper Mario than just story, battles, and character development (though I don't really think there was a huge amount of those anyway).  There's also the exploration element, and the puzzles.  Both of those are still heavily present, and the general feel of the game still exists.  When I was going to get Paper Mario: Sticker Star, those were the things I was excited to try out.  I enjoyed all of the Paper Mario games I played because all of them had that element in it.  Saying it's a bad game by definition is rude for all those who played it and liked it.

Also, would a bad game get an average rating of 75/100? http://www.metacritic.com/game/3ds/paper-mario-sticker-star

Paper Mario Sticker Star is an RPG. Are you denying this fact, cause that's what it sounds like.

favorite game on 3ds, super mario 3d land. great graphics/animations and gameplay.
