Love Double Dash, the controls felt tighter to me then Mario Kart Wii. SNES version is still my favorite though, although that is completely nostalgia talking. It's funny how many Nintendo fanboys hate pretty much everything that was on the Gamecube.

I really can't tell which MK is the best...

MK64 had the best item managment, using weapons actually required some tactics and a lot of skills. It had the best battle mode by a long shot. On the other hand I didn't like the handling very much and had many tecnical flaws.

MK DD is the one I liked the least. Tecnically it was perfect. In terms of gameplay it wasn't particulary bad in any aspect and but it wasn't particulary good either. Track design was uninspired. The battle mode was very good, thought not as good as in MK64

MK DS maybe is the best one, all around. Item managment was not as tecnical as MK64 but on the other hand it was very good and equilibrate, the handling was very good, had more tracks than previous games and a lot of multiplayer options. On the minus side, the handling got better in newer versions and snaking was a bit excessive.

MK Wii is one of those love and hate things. I liked the handling a lot, it had a lot of depht, and I liked motorbikes, and it had a lot options and set-ups for multiplayer. On the other hand item managment was completely wrong, totally unfair and chaotic. The battle mode was an abortion. Also tecnically it was worse than Double Dash (it looked just a bit better but they couldn't keep 60fps for 3-4players).

MK 7 is great. It has probably the best handling ever, online mode is better than ever. Item managment is much better than in MK Wii, but still it's a bit too chaotic imo. On the minus side they have removed many options and setups the DS and Wii version had.

its a reminder just how badly Ninty could get its ass handed to them in the console space...they dont like that.

MK DS is the best.

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Call me crazy, but SNES is still the best one.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Double Dash was the worst Mario kart ever to grace a Nintendo Home Console.

I'm amused how Gamecube is seen as such an amazing console, even though the damn things was the biggest flop of a console to come from Nintendo.

Luckily for the few Gamecube fans out there, they've received a new console that is trying to appeal to them with the Wii U. Complete with a Pikmin sequel and WW HD remake. Just a matter of time before the sales really pick up, I'm sure.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

You're correct. It is the best Mario Kart game.

Exactly what I was talking about.  Lol that it's someone that's  a Metroid Prime fan, too.  Fact of the matter is that the Wii U isn't a Gamecube.... Gamecube had high end specs and didn't have a gimmicky controller!  (it's also not a Wii though, so it fails at being both.  Nintendo fan boys have to realize that they tried to split the difference with this thing, it's NOT Nintendo's attempt to go out and grab the core with a "me too console."  They tried to appeal to both markets with this and managed to piss both off, lol)

No it isn't. The Karts are too slidey, the handle like dune buggies rather than karts.
MKWii takes it due to its tighter handling.

If they were fanboys, they'd love it just because it as Nintendo.

Thing is, Nintendo's games on the Gamecube made a multitude of terrible design decisions; turning Mario into a janitor on vacation, turning Starfox into a dumbed down Zelda, turning Zelda into a cartoon full of suicidally boring sailing, etc.

Nintendo consoles sell because of Nintendo games, and wih a few exceptions, these were below Nintendo's usual stellar standards on the GCN.
