I only had the original Xbox, so it's been a long time since they had me. They should start by getting more *real* exclusives, make the HDD replaceable. Focus more on games, sell a bundle without Kinect and when it's $200 I'll even consider buying one.

Make windows more like mac. Switch the minimize/maximize and close window buttons from right to left. Just turn what they have upside down. I'll be tempted to get a mac or switch to linux then.

I'm for everyone of those except xbl should either give people more free games or it should be free. It recently came out that PS+ was giving people an over $1000 value, while XBL still just gives you online and a few free (really old) games a month. If I looked around a little bit, I could easily find prices for th games they give out for free at a similar value.

I'm very adamant not to go back to MS, but I voted for all of the above.

Since the whole DRM fiasco, loads of my friends and family want to get PS4....so thing is I don't want to be the odd one out. If "all of the above" happens it's going to be hard convincing them to get X1. I will ultimately follow the crowd.

Well first of all they need to drop the price and get rid of that Skynet box, I'm hoping the PS4 stomps them and they have no choice but to not make it required because that is bullshit.  I honestly can't believe they are forcing people to buy kinect 2.0 when they don't even want it, if they really think its the future and its gonna drastically improve the gaming experience then they should be taking the hit on it, make it a major selling point by saying we have this and our competitor doesn't and we won't charge you extra.  Honestly I think they could easily do it, with all the rumours about the X1 being weaker, therefore we know it cost less to make and I know Sony is making a $25-50 profit on every PS4, I don't think its asking too much of Microsoft to sell the console and kinect at $400.

I'm not gonna say make online free, because I know live is a major revenue string for them and without it, it would be hard for them to turn a profit, I understand that, but they need to start offering more free games like Sony does.  I know they started offering 2 games a month, but that is not enough, Sony offers 15+ games a month and Microsoft offers 2...Some people are gonna make the agurment, well well with XBOX you own your games with PS you just get to play them for a month.  Honestly think about it which is better 2 games a month you own or 15+ games you get to play...

I will say I credit Microsoft for investing more money into actual games.  I think they said they invested 1 billion dollars and I give them all the credit in the world for that.  Although I kinda wish they actually made their own first party games instead of just buying third party ones.  I hope they keep that up and its not just at the start to win early adopters. 

What do you guys think?  What did I miss and what do you want to add?

the craziest thing i hear alot of people saying is i wont forget what microsoft tried to do to them.  no one is a consumer of the xbone yet so what they were attempting effected no one.   5 months wouldve been plenty of time for people to decide if they like or dislike what ms was offering  or move on like you have.  i hear stuff like microsoft was trying to screw there fanbase.  but like i said the xbone fanbase is 0.

I am incline to: They will never win me back.

But, they could, if they proved to me they changed their ways.

This means: Bigger internal development studios, more games coming out on a regular basis, no forced kinect bundle, no trying to force policies into customers and if they really wanted me back they would offer free online. That is the one point in wich Sony got themselves vulnerable at the moment.
I would want to see more and different games and not just 3-4 million sellers series that get almost yearly installments.

Chance of this happening: almost zero.

My trust in them is almost completely unrecoverable. I'm pretty much done with them unless they change their policies and its not just for the first 2 years but for the whole generation.
